I have quite a bit of experience making, using, and charging biochar.

But I am just learning, and preparing to make my FIRST activated carbon, for odor control

Google makes it seem easy, as I alreay have yards of biochar to play with.

Has anyone tried?

Like I said I have the biochar. (And yes I can confirm non activated charcoal does not control grow space odor.)

So I am going to try and make activated carbon, instead of buying it for my home made bathroom fan on a 4 gallon bucket odor control set up.. hehehe

I thought activated carbon = activated charcoal?? For air filters you need smaller pieces for a much larger surface area. It works... for sure. Unless you grow a room full of Chemdawg then you need 1 filter per plant and that might not even be enough.
