Bile Farms in China

Does anyone know about these so called bile farms ?

some asian countries believe that bile is medically beneficial

They use and imprison animals to harvest their bile.

Its not just the Chinese, I feel that we all have misconceptions.

I know, but the majority of the farms with the bears are in northern vietnam southern china... and I dont hate all chinese, just their government, and the dumb shit ones who destroy animals and the environment for material gain or for traditional medicines.. why do you think tigers are so rare in china now? they use tiger bones as medicine... dumb fucks

Some of the responses in this thread are frustrating to me because I see ignorance being propagated.

I don't believe that China is worse than any other country. I think it is easy for us to target China (or INSERT any other country here) because it is a strange, foreign culture to us. (The whole 'us' vs. 'them' paradigm creates a false dichotomy). But there are atrocities going on in our own back yard that make me disgusted to be an American or a human being on this planet who is going along with the status quo because we are ignorant, distracted, self-involved beings. The Chinese are no more guilty than Americans are innocent. Do you have any idea what Americans are doing to people, animals, and the planet?

I don't condone what China is doing and admittedly I need to learn more about this bile farm thing.

Just so you all know, China is becomming/is the worlds most powerful country...They own our ass, thanks cheap consumer mindset!!

So here's my million dollar idea...If there was a store like Walmart or Target, you know, like a superstore that sells everything...well what if this store had everything priced like a few cents more per item...And what if this store was called "Made in the USA", and all products were made in the usa...would you shop there???

I think this would help stimulate the local economy, and if(Godwilling) it were to become as large as Walmart, do you have any idea what sort of impact that would have on our country?

I like to think I'm open-minded and fairly liberal, but if there was a "Made in the USA" in my city, I'd drive out of my way to spend a few extra cents per product there!!!!

Where do you get your info ? do you have factual basis to back up these clams or is this merely your opinion?

I do not participate in this current standard of practices. If we want any change, there needs to be transparency to what is occurring, not cover-ups, or commissions that are designed to make the stories believable. Wake Up! you have been dreaming for sometime now.

i get my info from tv news stories, from those i formed that opinion, some might argue that cruelty goes on in all countries, but its acted upon in mine, not ignored.

The thing is though, 'Made in USA store' [which I like] would have to be all made in the USA. Which I know is the point. But we're already competing against the Chinese market and this is why all of their stuff is on our shelves now. They pay all the workers shit in China, its even cheaper including all the shipping costs. This is already driving down the general pay of workers in any commercial goods in the US.

I know of a company that preaches American made, yet this company will take a part from my hands and ship it to Mexico to be... finished let's say, and then sent back to my hands in the same building for final assembly. It's cheaper, including shipping cost and manpower, to send shit to Mexico instead of the guy next to me. And this guy already lives month to month he's no fat cat.


Id shop at your store. Well, maybe not. Id keep going to the local guy first.
