hey thanks for stoppin by bigguy... i just got home late last night from my home visit and had a good weekend tripped on some cid and went exploring in the forest, fun times. also when leaving my house today i forgot my digital camera cord again...what a damned stoner o well could be worse. stop by my grow tomorrow and check them out. they grew so much over the weekend. it looks like your babies are out growing the baby stage. even the ditch weed plants are looking like they like that area much better...hopefully some of the wild plants dont pollenate your good plants becuase i heard or read that pollen can travel miles..so keep an eye out for fertilization. not a 100% sure but just my two cents...take it easy bro :peace:

Yeah I know and I am worried about the cross pollenization factor, got to keep a close eye on the wild ones. I'm considering mowing the ditch too.
Looking forward to checking out the latest pics of your girls.

does the "mutant" BR have thick pedals? Other than the slightly different shape, something seems different about the leaves on that thing

The 1st of the above indoor pics is BR1, right? Whatever it is, I'd like to see what it looks like from the side
They don't really seem any thicker to me, just a different shape which is actually atarting to look more normal lately. At least as normal as the other Black Rose(BR2)

Here are some pics of the inside plants, including some side views.
You may notice that I've been doing some more trimming and LST.
Some thing else that I've been doing that I don't really know if it helps or not is with the water, but I don't think it can hurt either. Whenever I cut off any leaves, I crush and tear them up into the next water jug and fill it with hot water and it sits for a couple days before it is used. So I am watering with marijuana tea. Just something I remember some people doing from back in the seventies and early eighties.

looking good, the LST has certainly done some great things for some of 'em.

Did br1 get topped, then buried up to the fork in the stem?? It looks like 2 stems coming from the soil! I've heard of burying tomatoes up to the first pair of leaves after transplanting, did you do something similar with br1?

Cool to see br2 bushing out, I'm def. looking forward to seeing that thing flower

Oh and I see one of the lowryders took well to the topping! I've heard several people advise not to do so with LRs because of the limited time before they flower doesn't allow them to develop 2 tops but it looks like yours has, if you have any lowryders you didn't top I'd be curious to see what the difference in the yield is - the way it looks now I'd surely think it'll get more bud growth than if it weren't topped. How old is it? They supposed to be harvested at 8 weeks or is that just the original lowryder?

Yeah the LST and fimming/topping has done wonders especially for WR5 and WR6 and even helped BR2 to get much better growth in the center by spreading her out. I'm sooooo looking forward to those purple flowers of the Black Rose's too.
Yes you could say BR1 got topped, I cut off the weird siamese leaf stem a while back and I always fill the dirt in as they grow taller too (good eye). I've included the last 2 pics of her before topping and the first pic of her afterwards in this post for you.
Of the Lowryders, LR1 & LR2 got topped, LR3 & LR4 got left alone, and LR5 got fimmed. I just looked it up on the calender and they are 7 weeks from germination as of yesterday. With them all getting white hairs now, I expect them to finish in about another 4 weeks, hopefully anyway. So they aren't as fast as advertised but still faster than most other strains. Harvest on them I'm sure will vary widely. The way LR3(The Runt) looks, I'll be surprised at more than 4 grams from her:roll:.:peace:

Sorry I didn't get any pics of the outdoor ladies last night as it was a hectic day yesterday followed in the evening by my step-daughter's last high school concert before she graduates on sunday.
Going to be mowing that ditch just as soon as I get my riding mower back from the shop.
I bought some flowering nutes yesterday and all of the Lowryders got a good drink of it at half strength.
Here are of the tub of nutes and pics of the inside girls that I just took.
Check out those hairs and fuzzy leaves on LR3(The Runt), she looks like she'll give me couple of kick-ass bowls to smokebongsmilie
WR5 and WR6 are bushing out like crazy and will need to move outside real soon before they totally outgrow these 6" tera-cotta pots.
I just know that I'll be hauling a hell of a lot of water up that hill throughout the summer and I'll miss having my babies right here in the basement where I can fuss over them more. But I know that they all have to go out eventually and it's for their own good too.:peace:
I'll be going out to check on the outside ladies in a little while if it doesn't start raining soon and hopefully I'll get some more pics up by tonight.

I got outside just as it started raining, so I snapped pics of all the outside ladies quickly and then came back to the house to get some of the dry fertilizer (16-10-11) that I've been using for the veg period.
So I went back up and sprinkled some on the ground around everybody except the Lowryders so that the rain will wash it down in for them. I know it's not very precise, but it's been working so far.
I'm not going to ramble on too much about them but check out the close-up of LR4's center bud:mrgreen:
I also got a nice side shot of K1 & WR4's fat-ass stems.
I'm proud of my girls (well I know some are definately girls for sure now), enjoy the pics.:peace:

Your doing a really good week. So how long you reckon for the LRs? Did some quick research into it, couldnt figure out whether its primarily Sativa or Indica however i imagine its heavily indica due to its fast flowering cycle? It also said 40 days flowering, so whats that for weeks left? :P

Thanks, I'm figuring about 4-5 1/2 weeks max.:weed:
It is an indica dominate cross from what I gather.
Here is a quote from DrChronic's site where I bought them.
Joint Doctors Lowryder #2 Seeds

Genetics: Santa Maria x Lowryder Type: f1 Hybrid Harvest Date: 9 weeks from Seed Flowering Period: 6+ weeks THC Content: Unknown No. of Seeds Per Packet: 10 Characteristics: Bushy, very early flowering plants with prolific budding. The long-awaited successor to the Joint Doctor's flagship strain is finally here. Lowryder #2 is the newest product of the breeder's quest to improve the strength, yield and flavour of his original variety while maintaining the unusual characteristics that made it so popular. Lowryder #2 has been infused with superior Santa Maria genetics, a variety known for copious resin production, exotic taste and soaring highs, it is an indica / sativa hybrid originally from Brazil. The cross was subsequently selectively inbred for three generations. The result is an auto-flowering dwarf that yields a wonderfully strong, head-turning smoke with intoxicating taste. The strength and flavor is backed by copious resin production and much-improved yield and stability. Buds are larger, tighter and more aromatic than the original Lowryder. As with Original Lowryder, no separate room or light cycle is needed to flower Lowryder #2. Outdoors, Lowryder #2 will mature quicker than any non-auto-flowering variety.

Hey kushmonster thanks for stopping by my journal.
Sorry to hear about your mom, but for me it's awesome compared to the pain I had before. Now the severely arthritic foot on the other side, that still hurts a lot. But they don't know what to do about that other than "fuse" it.:?
As far as ordering, there are soooooo many choices. Research and go with what works best for your situation. Decision's....Decision's:peace:

Hey Corso, it's been a while, nice to hear from you again.
They are definately starting to explode, even the plants that are still inside are going nuts.:weed: K2 grew about six inches in the last 2 days and is now over 2 feet tall. WR4 and LR4 both sprung up about 4 inches in just a couple days as well.
They are going to be TREES for sure !!!

Thanks oGipRotRe and I'm glad you liked the pics.
I'll be posting more pics of the indoor ladies tommorrow, today I have pics of the outdoor monsters.:weed:

I'm still having a pest problem , especially with K7, her leaves look like swiss cheese. But the way they are growing right now I don't have any immediate worries about that yet. I ordered a 5 lb. neem cake and will be making some neem extract from it (found recipe in GrowFAQs) and maybe adding some pyrenthrum to it for that extra kick.
The wild plants up by my girls are selectively narrowing themselves down to just 1 or 2 and they are sprouting right up there.:peace:
