I’d get that tent sprayed down before your new crop even gets close to showing sex, if you grew this last batch in the same tent. Most likely pollen everywhere from the looks of it. If that is the case, your next finish is likely to have seeds as well, if you don’t get it cleaned up.

:peace:
Yes I sprayed the tent with bleach water then wiped down with regular water then dried. Was a week ago. Tent and everything

Ah, so this is the air pump with the stones I got. To oxygenate the water.
rdwc means the water is recirculating. so you could have like 4 root buckets plus a reservoir and the water is recirculating through the whole system with water pumps.
dwc each root bucket is separate with its own bubbler, it sounds like this is what you're doing.

you can have success growing with either, or just container gardening with soil or potting mix. you can grow great weed. the key is persistence. keep trying and keep researching.

Yes recirculation so this means also a reservoir, this holds the pump.Water is pumped to each site then returns via drain hoses back to the res..
Google will tell ya the rest.
This type of system may seem complicated but once you understand it its really very basic.

Mines a deepwell I guess it's called, it's the bucket with nutrient water just under the basket. The roots are always submerged into the water, you change the liquid once a week.there are two air stones pushing air into the water to oxygenate it.i think the one your talking about, and I could be wrong is the one where it pumps water onto the roots but not all the time. And I'm only doing one seed right now. So it's only one bucket.

Happy growing! I ran a real basic dwc set up (first time) which stretched into summer. I harvested a good weight and it cured well and smoked good. But Like that other comment said, look into a chiller. Couple of hundred but will save you a lot of headaches. If you have trouble in veg in dwc, consider changing them to soil.

...what's a chiller? To cool the water? I thought if the water was warmer like 65 to 70 ferinhight was best for plant. Oh and I have co2. I'm gonna take some pics, might be better then explaining

oh boy you need hug for the pain you are about to go through lol . You went from the bunny slope to a tripple black diamond on your first day of skiing within 20min of being on the bunny hill. It's not the DWC that is the headache as the system is quite simple. It's the constant upkeep and being on top of everything. The fact that you said this
Ah, so this is the air pump with the stones I got. To oxygenate the water.
is scary asf.

It is DEF not a set it and forget it. I wish you luck my friend I really do. I hope you surprise the shit out of me and make me eat my words. I have no doubt that you will get the hang of it, just maybe not this run or the next lol. But you def will get the hang of it. Read everything you can on DWC. I would love to give you advice but I will never attempt DWC as I really don't have the patience for it. Follow some of the DWC gurus on here and they will show you a trick or two.

God speed.

Got any recent pics of the setup? What are you running for nutes? Have you started seeds yet? Let us know the temp of the res once the lights are on for 18hrs

This is what currently looks like, however the light will change Friday as I jumpped the gun on my seed. Yes, seed. I only want to do one. As for the light, I purchased what I can tell is good light.
1500 watt LED Grow Light Full Spectrum with Veg/Bloom Channel,Yehsence LED Growing Light Fixtures for Indoor Plants with Daisy Chained Design and Triple-Chips LED (15W LED)
Will be here friday.
I will do what it takes to keep it going and not mess up, but the only way for me to learn is to do. So this is my first shot at it. And I may be bold in jumping into it, but I did read and did watch alot of YouTube videos. May not have understood them but I'm still learning. Ya the chiller I will look up tonight as I'm ready to go to bed.
I'm unvested into doing this so I'm going to try, and if I fail I learn. As I learn I grow, I grow..look you get the idea.

Its a shitty light, but for your first grow its fine. Just keep that fucker high above the plant.

when you look at lights you want to look at the actual power draw so that is a 265w light. which is good because it looks like you're in a 2x2 tent and 1500w would absolutely fry anything in a 2x2.

like is mentioned above you're going to want to keep that light high above your plants, esp when theyre young. 24"-36"

i like your attitude. keep trying. every shortcoming is a learning experience.

Thank you. That's how I feel. I just read what a water chiller is and for. So I just ordered one and will be here in 2 days. Amazon. It's a small one but comment says it works good for 5 gals.
I also want to say that I never had a green thumb. Any plant it seemed I looked at would die. So just to get the first one to grow was awesome for me. Ya this is going to be an adventure, but one I was willing to take when I started.

Good luck on your hydro experience! You’re braver than I am, I will stick to “soil” until I know enough about it to move on. I think you should have just stayed in soil and figured out what went wrong before moving on. To each there own, keep updates coming.

Soil to me seemed natural.. always thought about soil, rain, mountains... u know the way it would naturally grow... Never saw it growing in water alone till I heard of hydro...
such and such “got that dro”.

From my understanding its faster growth and better yield..good luck you gotta start somewhere.. I just want to master the soil first....I’m no pro but I don’t think it was the soil.. if I saw 5.5 anywhere on my ph meter in soil.. I’d probably shit a brick..

leave on the blue spectrum for veg, than switch to both in flower. You can leave both on all the way through but its just waste of power as the plant when its small can't use all that light any how and raise it all the way up to the top of the tent. Leave it there. Let the plant grow into it. Are you just doing 1 plant at a time? Your in hydro so your only going to veg for 4 weeks correct? you might wanna get a second system and run two, or better yet ran 3 more in coco instead, veg all 4 for 4 weeks and flip. If you fail in DWC you still have 3 coco plants at least. Coco is easy.

Only have 3 seeds I got 5 but I gave my buddy 2 of them. He grows outside.
But ya I'm just doing the one.
Now leave it all the way at the top so then after the 2nd or 3rd node do I start topping,or fiming then?one of the biggest issues I had last time was stretching, I didnt have good lighting was alot of CFL and maybe 2 or 3 grow bulbs.
