gsxrboy22 - I agree Brett was a great player...one of the few players you could really look up to. I remember his debut the anouncers couldnt pronounce his name and throughout the game they kept laughing and making comments about how to properly pronounce his name. I remember thinking then "this guy has something."brett was the shit..all around good guy
Nubb - you can do it and the hydro drip buckets really give you a good medium in which to do it. its ALOT of work if you want to pull it off and feel satisfied. Alot of tieing and twisting, maneuvering especially if you have limited space. You can tie down the fan leaves too make sure they get light but move them out of the way of the lower sites.
With soil I believe it would be easier because the hydroton in the buckets is very light weight and the entire main stem shifts drastically when the buds start getting heavy and thats a bitch in and of itself.
Take your fan leaves and tie them to your main stem at an angle so the lower bud sites can get plenty of light yet the fan leaves still receive light as well. you can do this with those twist ties OR some of those plastic handcuff ties the ATF uses (they are similar to those anyway you can get them at the home depot)
depending on the strain you may want to spread the branches out a bit or you may want to tie them closer together again this depends on the strain and your space situation.
Get creative I used to cut some of the lower branches off during the later stages of vegetation because I knew they werent going to get light. I also used to use a 250 watt HPS standing vertically facing the lower half of the plants to give them extra light. You can shift this light every so many hours to cover all the plants...the cfl idea sounds much better but this method did create some huge buds
watch your branches some may snap if you dont keep a close eye on them...best of luck
