Big Plants - Big Yield?

pk is usually added week 4 or 5 for a couple of weeks on an 8 weeks flowering strain. but it depends on the strain, i find i get better results adding it slightly earlier. there is a 7-10 day gap were the PK will give the most benifits so by running it for 2 weeks you got a better chance of hitting that gap.

running 10% to waste is really good but you should feed a few times a day atleast. i feed mine between 4 to 6 times on average every 4 hours. don't run plain water at all through your coco it washes away all the good bacteria.

I dont flush at the end, the last 5 days before i harvest i run 1/2 strengh nutes. im not a believer of flushing unless you have signs of nute burn. i don't think it makes the smoke more harsh, the harshness comes from drying and curing to quick IMO.

FIMMing and Topping IMO is the best way to increase yield becides adding more light. there are 2 really good tutorials on this.

they should only be done durring veg and make sure you do it atleast 1 or 2 weeks before you switch the lights to 12/12. so this is someting you should consider for your next grow.

Checked out the links - defo trying that next time.. had a good "move round" today and tried to get the ladies a little nearer.... hopefully will stop them stretching a bit. Ive decided to put the PK in for two weeks from friday... fingers crossed should be okay....

what u call hot for a pom?.... 5 degrees....lol? ive done my fair share of travelling with a few poms and they deff now how to drink.

yeah nute burn is when u give your plants too much nutrients or sometmies you might see signs of this if some nute solutiion splashes on the leaves.

usually with nute burn the best option is to flush with plain water, but with coco i would still have a really mild nute solution in the water when flushing about 1/8th or 1/4 then slowly work your way back up to a comfortable level. the signs are drying out of the leaves and a burned look. Some people mistake burn form the lights with nute burn so thats the look your looking for, the difference is if its from your lights its gonna be the leaves closest to the light.

ok i been studying your journal, i think no matter how close u put the light to the plant the distance from the light to the outer plants is probably over 2ft so there gonna stretch no matter what. for your first grow there looking really good though,

if your worried about them getting to tall for this grow then you can bend and tie the plants how u have been doing,but if its getting too hard to do you can add a product called gravity or bud miester, it stops internodal stretching and pretty much just brings the plant to a stand still, it also adds weight to your buds.

for your next grow u could use a cool tube to vent the hot air from the lights so u can put it closer to the plants. for my next grow... if i were a super hectic lebo pom as your self, i would add another 400watts, top then during veg, and bigger pots and more feeds a day and you will triple your yield.

did u take some clones during veg? are u planning another grow?

hey mate, sorry took so long to answer spent the last few days with the ex, u no how it is. i never like to end on bad terms incase of a rainy day.
im 28.5 feel like im 50 though, but u get like that as time goes by. single and live alone what about yourself? married? kids?

i dont water during lights off. say in a 12/12 situation ill water at lights on then every 4 hours after that. so the last water will be just before the light comes off. if u were doing twice a day i would prob do 1 at lights on then 1 about 7 or 8 hours later. i use a pump and timer to feed my plants, so i dont have to really tend to them much which is good, the less work the better.

with coco its very very hard to overwater so u wont have any dramas increasing your waterings. i water mine different ammounts at different times, when i translplant clones ill start with about a litre of water plus 1/2 strenth nutes, by the end about 4 litres a feed at fuill strengh. i swith to full strenth when i start to flower. buuuut every plant and strain is diff and also depends on how big your pots are and how big the plant is, best way to gave is make sure each feed u get atleast 15 to 20% run off. most coco growers use this method.

my plants finish hitting a 2metre ceiling with about 1600 watts per plant so its gonna drink alot. i posted some pics for you of what mine look like after 2 month veg, topping and 4 feeds a day does. there also in 70 litre pots so thats alot of coco.

i thought u could take clones from fem seeds but i never did it or planted fem seeds, im just asuming u can, ill find out for u and let u no asap. but if u got fem seeds i guess u dont really need to u can just plant some more soon in smaller pots maybe under some fluros so when this grow finishes u got some veging ready to transplant.
ill look into the mantas hood for u and give u my op about it also.

Now then.... I dont actually know any lebs with the exception of you.... that aint the reason. My friend who i get high with will watch stuff over and over and over... He likes this comedy called "Ideal" its a story about a guy whos played by Johnny Vegas who is the local smoke dealer... the series revolves around his customers and the people he meets. Every now and again he will run out of WEAD and only have solid LEB for sale... when his regulars show up, he trys his best to sell the stuff... but they just say "ill leave it"..... which is kinda of amusing and they make out its really poor....Now becuase my mate has watched it so much, and im forced too - its kinda embedded in my brain.. My other friend had a grow and when he cropped he bought a sample round for me and said mate .... as soon my friend had one drag of the spliff he said - "Mate..... well done, you've sucsessfully grown leb" we both then could not stop laughing, my other friend thought it was a compliment and still does not know - but we laughed all night - on the leb.

So.... hence me trying to grow SUPER LEB!!!!

hey mate checked out the journal, pics arnt all that clear but form what i can tell there coming along nicely.

With the pots the bigger the pots the bigger the root system the bigger the yield. big yields is all about lighting & root mass. but 10litre pots are fine under a 400watt light. i would only go bigger if u were gonna do a 1 light 1 plant configuration.

Ill have to watch that comedy sounds funy, im into little britan got all the series on DVD and just got there book but havnt read it yet.
So is your girlfriend thai? how often do u get over there?

im half through another grow im working on, im vegging my plants 6 to 7ft high and then im gonna put them in a greenhouse to flower so im hoping for some real big monsters. ill post some pics as i go along.
