Big Fat Buds

A couple weeks from harvest, BC Northern Lights Producer model. The bigger buds are bigger than my forearm ( Im not a small guy 6'2" 230 LB). Its Big Bud/Northern Lights Strain cloned from my best 2 mothers. One phenotype is longer to flower but greater yields, the other grows short and stocky as hell and is ready in 7 weeks. You can see the 1 type is on 1 side and the other type is on the other side. a couple of the main colas have gotten so heavy that I had to tie them up with a string.

two (2) 400 Watt HPS, one (1) 125 Watt CFL as supplemental light. Using Advanced Nutrients. Superthrive,SensiGrow A&B for veg, SensiBloom A&B flower, Big Bud, Overdrive, Carboload,VitaBoost Pro.

1600, about to run that down to about 400 for this next week and 0 for the last week. week 6 was 1750 ppm.

Those are probably some of the fattest buds ive ever seen in any picture of northern lights. how do they smoke?

I pulled the smallest plant 5 days ago, dried in my dryer and just smoked a bit last night. def got me high, not couchlock, but very heady. lot of cloudy/clear trichs. got 120G wet and 27g dried. just on day 2 of curing, starting to smell better, less hay more skunk.

How many plants did you have all together and please post your final harvest weight

15 total plants, 7 of the large and 8 of the smaller pheno. Will take wet and dry weights and update the thread.

I noticed you mentioned the BC Northern Lights Producer-is that the box the box you are referring to? I have seen them on the web on wondered . It looks and sounds like a cool set up.

Could you tell me more about your experience. I have some cash, live alone, and can set up a extra bedroom so............

Tell me more cause those buds look badass!

Yes medi, it is the box that BC Northern Lights Sells, called "The Producer". I also have a "MotherShip" and 2 dryers from them, a good friend also has another Producer and we compete to see who can make the best buds. Initial investment was kind of high ($10,000 +) but we got everything we needed except for c02 tanks.

I started in soil, then went to DWC and now with this system it makes all of it rather simple to do. They have a great product and have got most of the bugs out. Really easy to grow in, maybe spend 10 minutes a day on the plants and an hour or so each sunday on rez change day. Other than that, just follow a good nute regimen and make sure nothing stops working.

You can do the same setup for less if you build it all your self, but being the lazy stoner that i am, decided to go with a turn key system after my first grows didn't turn out quality bud like I had intended. The way I figured it, I saved myself over 100 hours of work buying a box that works this well. Since I make $24/hr at work, that comes to a $2400 savings in labor.

The Advanced Nutrients have done really well, exceeding my expectations in growth. Next grow I will also add some sensizyme and see if things will improve even more. One grow I am also going to go all organic to see what I can make for tasty nugs. I have this all setup for a perpetual grow and my clones are almost ready to go into veg and will be flowered the day after I harvest the last buds.

Update on the grow, today was harvest day, took 5 hours to manicure and weigh it all. Total wet weight is 60 Ounces, so that should put me at around 15-16 ounces total weight dry and cured, not too bad for my first NL/BB grow. Yield was better than my indoor soil grows. Soil maybe yielded 1/2 oz per plant and BCNL Producer getting me a lil over 1 oz per plant.

Putting the clones in to veg today after cleaning and sterilizing all components, going away for holiday also, so back on monday. Have a good weekend all! Some pics included.

Also yielded 2 pounds wet of good trich covered clippings and several pounds of leaves and stems. chuckin the leaves and stems. Will dry the clippings and make some hash and honey oil. got almost 1 gram of finger/scissor hash too MMMMMM.
