Big Charities Another Way To Milk the Poor?

I have been reading stories from charities using only 3 cents for every dollar donation to outright not knowing what happened with the money. It has me thinking (and obviously most asshats here are gonna use that against me), it seems like a very bright way to strip folks of their hard earned dollars to continue driving the gap between the elite and the peasants.

How do you FEELS?

i worked for a place like that in college. we solicited money for pro-life causes. only about 5% went towards that goal in any way, the rest just covered what we did and paid a nice salary to the person who set it up.

Pretty crazy that it is legal to do that, I mean i've donated a lot of money compared to how much was in my wallet at the time for various causes. Anytime there is a big disaster the wife always wants to donate, I told her we need to slow down with that and if we are to make a real impact DO something not just send money.

This has been going on for years.
Legitimate Charity's will state how much money goes to administrating

You went to tech school, right?

Do they teach English 101 there?

Or do you just blindly mark the "x" on the ballot where your well-paid union rep tells you to?

I read the Korman foundation, the pink ribbon people..only donate $0.20 for every dollar donated..the CEO gets a $625,000yr salary. I think red cross is less per dollar and their CEO has similar pay..It's been awhile since i saw figures and i don't feel like looking it up right now. I haven't made a donation to any charity in probably 10+yrs..I'll help someone 1 on 1 ..but I'm not paying for someones salary or multi million dollar headquarters, you're a charity org..take a pay cut and work out of a warehouse

i think theres a chart or list that says which charities actually give the most money
i only support little smaller charities where they are transparent in their cause and giving on what they give and where the money goes

I usually give to the Sam Childers foundation /Angels of East Africa , or volunteer at a local animal shelter.
