Big bud strain

Hi this is my very first grow, I bought these Big Bud seeds from amsterdammarijuanaseedbank.com, I planted them in miracle grow organic soil on 12/23/08 and they're 4 weeks old today, i got 10 seeds from them but i only planted 4. I'm using a 400 watt MH Hortilux Blue Full Spectrum Bulb. I pruned one of the plants just to experiment, (it worked) out of the 4 plants one of them is a really bright green color. Is this a problem and how do my plants look because I've seen alot of plants the same age online and my plants seem small compared to what I've seen. Please post comments

i dont have any experience with that strain, but just by lookin at 'em they look healthy to me!

yea they look nice and healthy, especially the one in front. I wouldnt say their small for 4 weeks

looking good man i also have no experience with this specifit strain, if you pruned one and it worked fine why dont you prune the others in the same fasion and have more cola's? the more the merrier!

what type of lamp will you be using??? also how big is your area??

Just realize that your plants will basically double in size in the first few weeks of flower. So make sure you have enough space before you start.

They are looking nice. I would start flower at 6 weeks and between now and then, get the transplant done, top, FIM, take clones so they can recover before the lighting switch.

I have not grown in soil but a few times. I do know that BIGBUD's are alot of the time skunk hybrids, breed for size.. this means they will probably double in height by week 6 of flower and then finally fill out the last two or three weeks.. so if your plants are a foot at the start of flower your plants will end around 2.5ft... witch i think is ideals for the 400hid... dont let them get too big.. the sativa influence will create stretching around the 3rd 4th and 5th weeks.. keep the light close.. good luck also maybe some perlite etc.. to loosen up that soil a lil bit

it depends on how much room you have and how big you want them. i wouldn't let them get too big, i made the mistake my first grow and it got so big i had to move my dro plant outside because i ran out of space i worked out well because it ended up being 8ft tall

i wouldnt flower before 6 weeks but i have the room to tie down. they dont look small for 4 weeks either my BB are small there 5 weeks old and only have 4 small leafs there fucked

if you let them get tall be sure to raise the crown so your light can penetrate the canopy...low light levels and height will create problems for you later with bugs mold and mildew... especially with soil

keep the light as close as possible, low light can cause stretching if its too far away man

BB need 's a lot of nutes.. I bought the same strain from the same bank as you mine look bout the same size as yours at that age then they took off like a rocket at six weeks. You may want to do a bit of topping to control height get the light as close as you can without burning them.

I grew mine for six week's sexed them saved one male to pollinate one bud. The strain dose vary a lot from plant to plant so I waited to get the best female I could and have been cloning that bitch for bought six months this is not an easy strain to clone BTW. the buds are huge I had a few that where as big around as a coke can, as long as 2 feet. The high is pretty good head buzz if you don't let the tryks get to amber if you do let them amber the body buzz is intence.Good luck!
