Big Bloom Burn?

I recently started 3 new seedlings. They sprouted as planned.

According to this I start the organic Big Bloom with 6tsps with my waterings. I read that its hard to burn them up since theres trace amounts of nutes in it. I put a little more than a 1/2 tsp into a quart size so Id say thats between 2-3tsps/gal. About half of what FF recommends.

Well, the next day I had severe yellow and burnt up edges on my bottom fan leaves. I flushed my cups out and they turned out okay, but my question is why?

Im using FF Ocean Forest soil and rooter plugs. I know the soild is pretty hot nutewise but I didnt figure adding some Big Bloom would burn em up. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Its been a couple weeks and they are fine now, Ive been using straight water, but I wanna get some food back in em. Should I start again with a smaller dose of big bloom and try to work my way back up?

+rep for some help. Thanks RIU Famo!!

Thanks for the replies guys. Ive always knew that their nute schedule sucks ass, but I figured that the Big Bloom wasnt strong enough to burn up my seedlings. I havent used any Grow Big yet so I dont feel like I fried them out. I guess you learn from every grow. I was thinking how i could get more nutes into them, but I guess I shouldve been thinkin that they dont need anything that soon and the overall health of the plant at that stage outweighs any small gain the big bloom wouldve gave me.

I had a similar issue when I first started using FF nutes. I had to lay off and work my way back up. My plants are loving it now. I'm up to 3 tablespoons of bb and 1.5 tablespoons of tiger bloom + molasses.

i just went through the same poblem i waited until after my plants had been in my soil mix of ocean forest, light warrior and some vermiculite, they were in the soil for 3 weeks before i feed the same thing big bloom about 1/2 strength and two days later the tips of my leaves was yellowish and you could tell its nut burn.so now i`am waiting for my soil to dry out real good before i water with some good ol plain water its been 6 days since i watered with the big bloom soils getting dry couple more days and i`ll water `em real good the burn was not real bad just a few tips here and there.after i water i`ll wait and the water after this one will be grow big 1/4 strength, growing super lemon haze and cole train.both i here are light feeders

It's an old thread but it's weird that no one gave you a proper response. Your problem is the Ocean Forest. Light dose of Big Bloom with seedlings should be OK but you need to use something like light warrior. Ocean Forest has torched everything I had under 2 weeks old.
