Bho questions

Hey, I'm gonna make some bho I have just over a pound of material to use and my question is do I run it all and purge it all at once or do I run a tube and purge that then run another tube after? I'm gonna be using the queen bee extractor that holds 100 gs ( iv read good and bad things about them but that's what I have and that's what I'll be using) and I'm using whip-it premium butane zero impurities 400 ml cans what iv read most people have been using 1 can per oz, my next question is how much should I average? I have about a pound of fan leaves/ trimmings and just over an oz of popcorn buds and trimmings (I have them separated) any feed back would be great

I personally dont run fan leaves. Without knowing other factors like indoor/ outdoor or seeing product giving a avg yield would be hard. Depending on quality and skill level 3-25%.
As far as first question you can blow ut all then purge.
Also most ppl use 300ml cans at 1 can per oz so with 400ml cans you can do 3 cans per 100gr tube

I blast all my trim. hydro good genetics. I just blasted a pound of trim,sugar leaves and small buds and got 12 grams of finished product. could be more or less. freeze your material first for 24 hours and that helps break it loose.and 1 can per ounce.

12 grams from a pound of trim/popcorn. Thats only about 2.8%. What tek are you using?

If you want higher yields, and are not trying to fraction off portions, dry it all until it can hand crumble. I do it like knitting, in front of the TV. I just crumble each buddlet down to flake. Or you can sieve it through a screen. Compete drying means more De-carboxilzation.

I used 2 cans per oz. I got that from testing. There is yield from that second can, more than the price of the can.

Go slow, so it gets a longer soak. I can get 4-5 grams per oz.

I remove the fans by hand, even on the buds, and if I am doing it right, my hands don't get sticky. So, I know I am not throwing away any sugar.

Only what is in there can come out. I have extracted lousy shatter from lousy pot. The yield was low and so was the quality.

Here is some premo, Atomic NL, I just prepared and a picture of it before harvest. The volume and quality of the meds have to be grown. It is about 3.5 oz. That is typical for me per month for 2 - 3-4 ft tall plants.

For me blasting fan leaves usually gives a more black colored hash, that's why I do them separately

I'm blasting all the left over stuff from my grow which Is fan leaves and trimmings, but I do have an oz of just popcorn buds that I have separated and It would probably be better to blast them separately, I made bubble hash with all my fan leaves/trimmings last grow and got like an oz of hash and the quality was pretty good so I'm hoping to get some bho out of the shake that is otherwise garbage

I got a wild idea once to get a coffee grinder and grind up all the super dried trim. I get about 3-4 grams per tube using short fat tube and less than an ounce of air buds and sugar trim per run and 2-2.5 cans. About twice the yield from my old method of just breaking it up a bit.It being so finely ground green sediment can get threw when using mesh so use coffee filters

Definitely separate any leaves from good bud. Or you will be turning your primo bud ran oil into inferior leaf ran oil.
Good sugar leaf extract can yield very nice oil but the more regular leaf material you have in your starting product then the more chlorophyl and unwanted material/colors you will have enter your extract.
Freeze your completely dried product before running it.
