Exactly. We manipulate the pressure to keep the butane liquid, and we manipulate the temp of the butane/cannabis solution to return the butane to gaseous state for recovery.

But you do not have to manipulate the temp its already being done by nature , just extract in an open container and then let it transfer back into a high pressure container . Why not ?

No, the were actually open. It was a High Times article from a few months ago.
Ah, yes. Those were the Top Shelf guys.

I kinda chuckled at their tub full of duct taped tubes.

I've seen closed systems pack dry ice around the reaction chamber.
Seems like recovery of 'tane would be nil. Lots of solvent left behind unless they heat it all back up post flood/soak. Seems like a lot of trouble for very little benefit.
