Keepin' things short..was in the grow earlier and noticed a budlet getting much too close to my LED and tried to crop it back a bit, snap!
Shit broke clean off!! Immediately placed into luke warm water as i grabbed pfte Teflon tape (used for thread seal), tried to eyeball the break and attach as close as possible and wrap securely, add wire tie for brace, wrapped a piece of duck tape over the pfte and securely to a wire tie for a brace and lastly, misted the injury.
Never have I seen such quick recover as photo was taken roughly 2 hours after break! That and i noticed it created a full plant response where fan leaves are praying high to the sky!

Last time this happened, all i had was toilet tissue, honey water and plastic wrap..it worked but much more slowly and was more time intensive to keep tissue moist.
Anyways, i know this is plant problems but maybe this tidbit could be helpful to someone down the line.

Good job on the recovery. if your into clones and keeping mother's, look up grafting. its an amazing concept of cutting a native branch of a plant in the shape v, then taking a clone of an entirely different strain cutting again in a v and using a method similar to yours to grow the clone on the "mother". I'd Love to be able to keep 5 stains on one plant. I wonder if it would cause genetic drift?

Tbh I have a pyritrium wilt issue in my area which is another reason this graft procedure worked so well! Needless to say, i cannot for the life of me clone anything. Its frustraring af but a new uvc light is on the way to sterilize my area and utensils for next round.
As far as genetic drift, I'm no genetcist but studies show this theory to be correct but have no means to research.

Edited: I have a wilt disease in my grow area and must disassemble and disinfect with bleach n stuff. Plus my already established plants are using 90% of my light output and with my flowering schedule, it's not an ideal area to clone, by any means.
Once I transition my flowering plants to my new tent, my old area can be then switched back to 24 light and I can resume cloning. Not to mention, I've been using sub par mediums to try and propogated.
I'm going to divert this topic to whats the best liquid fertilizer to get bud mass? I'm 2-3 weeks in and budlets seem sparse and not very dense? I know it's early yet by a long shot but my strains I have growing atm take everything I give them (every feeding 1 tbsp/24 oz h2o Alaska Morbloom 0-10-10) like seriously...Im literally blasting these plants and every one of them looks like they want more each feeding! Organic yes...synthetic depends
Help

Seems like the more UV light used, the more genetic mutations that occur. Not getting much sunburn even though some branches are inches away from my LEDs(another reason for new tent!) but many instances of leaf deviations. Its super weird but I know these strains are going to be potent!
Go from there..

Guessing week 3 or so of flower, more so in different plants. I don't keep track of these things nor do i do ppm. I do PH however.
Anyways, rambling because of my new setup! First full day of 8ft of stretch going from my 5' and all LED. One thing I've noticed is I might have gone too long witholding P&K in veg as well as a poor breeze which has led to my topped plant becoming leggy and cannot support its own weight. I got good stretch but a multitude of bud sights. In hindsight, a trellis would have been smart.
Again, rambling. I have several weeks to give these girls(and one intersex) as much bud builder? A solution to build those budsites so that I don't get popcorn buds but dense colas? I wish i knew strains but these were from bags from friend who knows grower. I can't get that close.. Buds really have no smell and only in last day or so have budlets really started to form trichomes. Light is well beyond 80k Lumens the entire 5x5 and temps are balmy 75 days 45RH 64 nights 42-55RH perfect.
Am i getting ahead of myself or does anyone else see where I'm coming from? Just don't want a finished product like the old days, tasting like hay and smoking like straight grass clippings. Happened before.
Anyone else have awesome plants all through veg and turn out ofter flower being like cbd bud/hemp? Shits scary man!

Only so much a plant can take when topping and not using any type of support...one main branch totally snapped off and didn't graft back. I'm so devastated! Plant itself is fine but damn, there goes a couple ounces.
Sad day.
