Beware the poacher

Well said. The sss was a joke. The last thing I would want to do is hurt someone. I grow in the woods. The way I look at it, if I don't do a good enough job of concealment, they might get gone. That's on me. I wouldn't like it, but I'm not really going to shoot someone over a few ounces of weed.

There is a lot of meth down here too. We had stuff stolen from our old (empty) houses after Hurricane Micheal, but I haven't lost plants to thieves in a long time.
I think some people freak out a bit more when it’s 10-20 lbs That’s can make a man quiver

Me personally do not sell or even really give away. (I do but not many friends who don’t already grow). So I try to grow for me and 4 others in my family. Plus I extract and make edibles. Not everyone can smoke. Not everyone likes flower. So I accommodate for everyone. And it takes quite a bit of material to do so :(

I'm in the same boat. Florida is still in the dark ages, so very few folks know I grow (or even smoke). Most of the ones who do, also grow. So if I give them an ounce, they give me an ounce back. But earlier this week I did give away the last of last year's bud to a buddy who doesn't grow.

Ya I don't rely on my outdoor. It's more of a treat/bonus to share with friends. I'm always handing out joints to my buddy's while we fish. Locals all know each other etc and we talk and fish together throughout the seasons. Plus you get nice info from people when they all baked up lol. More willing to share secrets

for real. My buddy had quite a bit left from last year. Ask me if I wanted to make anything outta it. Told him I have weed coming out my ears atm. Wrong time of year to ask. Lol
But couldn say no. I just blessed my neighbor with all of it. Lil fucker was stupid happy. Like I changed his life haha

I don't sell mine either. I work too hard for it and street weed is tampered with anymore around here

I'm the same way with my veggie garden. I'll gladly give them away, but if anyone stopped and offered me five bucks for a melon, it would have pissed me off.

This makes me want to become the Batman of homegrows, I will hide in the bushes and beat any cutters mercilessly and leave them strung up by their toes as the popo arrive.

I am so sorry for the guy that got his plants ripped. After I read about your story originally I ordered two more motion sensor units and I really live out in the boonies. This is my first year outdoors and seeing the amount of hard work that it takes to get this far especially these last few days and weeks fighting PM, bud rot and every god damn bug I never even knew existed and 90 percent humidity at night has given me so much respect for what outdoor growers do year in and year out. Putting in all this hard work just to let some loser walk off with it isn't going to happen. Taking the extra precautions might seem like being a little paranoid to some but I can sleep better at night...... on my deck, next to my plants, with a loaded watergun..... until harvest season is over. Okay maybe it is a little paranoid, but I'm gonna be the one smoking my plants damnit

You too, the info I have gotten from people on here has been really helpful. Outdoors was an eye opener for sure. Pest control was something I just wasn't prepared for and the same with the constant threat of mold but its only cost me a bunch of fan leaves and a small lower branch that I just had to harvest early so far so I've been really, really lucky.
