Betrayed by my "ladies"? Admiral Akbar says, "It's a trap!" Help!

Doing a flush on one of my four ladies this evening, and I was checking out all the pretty flowers. They're about three weeks into 12/12 now, so it's been weeks since I culled the two males from the group. So of course, I should be seeing nothing but female flowers, right? RIGHT?

Okay, here's one side:

And here's the other side:

I found TWO sacs, but only ONE sac under each flower. The flowers they were hiding under were oddly EXACTLY opposite each other on the plant. That is, imagine two colas right opposite each other on the main stem, then go up the colas till you get to the third fan leaf / node. The sacs were at the same point up the colas.

I cut the sacs off, very carefully. Then I inspected the whole rest of the plant and didn't see anything else suspicious.

So, is this a hermie that will give me no end of trouble (and pollen), or is this just a one-time thing? I don't really want to kill the plant, as it's, well, really a good plant (you know, other than the balls).

I guess my choices are:
  • Chop it, dry it, and make cannabutter out of it, or ...
  • Chop JUST those colas off, and watch the rest of the plant carefully, or ...
  • Just watch the plant carefully.
Whatcha think, RIU?

Don't leave it unless you want more seeds than you could use in a life time. Those are male flowers and they will soon release pollen. I would look into why they are herming on you, heat, light and watering schedule are things I would go over well....JR

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm a little surprised, but happy, that only one of the six of you suggests culling it. Watchful waiting is probably how I'll proceed, but if I see pods on more colas, I'll probably cut it down.

As for why this one's going herm on me, I have an idea. All of them are growing nicely (although the Afghani is a little stocky and bushy for my tastes) and look healthy, but the airflow in my cabinet is frankly a little thin. Temps have gone up to the high 90's some days, mostly because of the poor airflow and the dozen 40W CFLs. Honestly, drilling more air holes in the side of the wardrobe isn't the first thing I'd like to do, and probably won't help much. I think my best bet at this point is to buy a small window A/C unit for $99 somewhere and set it for 80 degrees.

More opinions are welcome!

i firmly believe in science, which tells me that hermies are a genetic trait. they are not a product of environment. i believe that people often mistake selfing(cause by environment) and hermies. if you clone this plant it will be hermie, if you have the time to clip the sacs, then do so. the offspring will more than likely produce more hermies, since it is passing its genetic traits. its really a good way for a species to ensure its longevity. if you are careful, you can finish that plant, and get some bud. you are already flowering. put it in a corner away from the fan. if you are unsure you can do this, then chop and compost the plant.
