Best wood to use?

Whats the best type of wood to use when building something sturdy like a grow cab? Does it really matter?

You don't really need anything special. Pine is what you will most often find at Home Depot. Its cheap lumber but it isn't going to make a difference. Home Depot or Lowe's will offer Pine, Pressure Treated Pine, Cedar, and a Little Oak. The prices are not worth it. If you where going to try to disguise it as a nice piece of furniture you might want to go with the oak.

Nope. No hiding here. hahah Just need to make something nice and sturdy :D
Go and buy the cheapest 2x4s they sell. It's not like anyone has be able to say, "Sir this 2x4 does not work?" Its a 2x4. Just pick through them an get the ones that look the straightest to you. Fuck YA! bongsmilie

Im designing grow closets right now. Does... 7.5' wide x 6' tall seem a tad excessive? Im going with a 4.5 x 2.5 ft flower room and a cloning / mother plant room all in one cab.

OSB? Elaborate please :D
its like plywood only cheaper and more water proof. It looks like shaves of wood glued together and pressed.

I prefer MDF medium density fiber board. Its a little heavier but if you use 3/4 you can skip the 2X4 and just screw it together. The more screws the better, pre drill and countersink.
