It's easy just take all your pics with one of those cheap ass Chinese led lights hanging over your plant. I see everyday in the noob section.

because contrary to popular belief, cannabis doesn't herm very easily (strains that don't have this tendency to begin with)
some people think any lil light leaks, temp changes, etc..
I don't think I've ever seen a plant herm when it already doesn't have that tendency to begin with, and conversely most plants that herm?
will herm no matter how ideal you have the grow room.
so ironically it's the same as the OP's question
genetics.
if you have herm prone strains, then they herm
if you have purple strains, they are purple.
Sounds stupid, but its the genetics that dictate damn near most
appreciate the answer, but i already knew that....was wondering what the other guys answer was gonna be...i have a 14 x 20 metal louver vent in my flower room, i can c with lights out after my eyes adjust....not that i never had a herm, but not every run and never the plants in front of the vent.....oddly enough....lol

That sounds like an unstable environment that you grow in.
Why u say that? Mines are always at steady 70 degrees until last 2 weeks of flower then i go 60 degrees
why don't plants grown outdoors herm from temp differences.....
No? It doesn't happen? Of course it happens., Of course u can have fluctuations but we trying to give our plants PERFECT CONDITIONS those are 2 different things

no, temps ranging over 11f is not going to stress a plant n herm....stop spreading myths......i agree a 10f swing is optimal, but def. not necessary.

Im not spreading myth is the truth., Landrace adapters with time but strains that are not used to that fluctuations will herm and get stressed out low yiels etc

Not necessarily with strains that are used to that but hot whether strains will definitely suffer

Not mentitioned yet was ph, not sure if myth or true but ive had some purple hues on geneticly purple strains like ak47 and others that purpled out with ph of 4.8-5.2. Im not 100% or even %50 percent certain if the ph had anything to do with it though. I also had extreme temp changes from 40's c to 9'c nighttime.
