Best way to seal my Rubbermaid so water doesnt leak?

hey guys i am going to tie my airstones down to the bottom of my tank with fish wire so there will be small holes on the bottom. What is the best way to seal this completly closed the pressure doesnt make it leak? The aquarium sealant was not that great, would hot glue gun be better?

Just hot glue them to the bottom(no holes) you can pull off the hot glue later.

will the hot glue stick to the bottom even if there is 20 galons of water on top of them? thanks!

Scratch it up with some sandpaper first, I hot glued a fitting through mine.

would there be any benefit to upgrading my system to a bubbleponics or a recirculating DWC or is my standard DWC capable of enough? thanks

Never ran those methods, I go F&D, drip, hand watered coco
is your rez water warm ??
DWC will give you great plants, a lot of people use it here.
