best way to preserve your bud

Since i just started getting alot of mary jane at a time i hold onto it alot longer then usual.

I keep it bagged in air tight double zip plastic bags. But im wondering is it better to keep it in a warm or cold climate??

The best way to preserve it, is to smoke it... all at once...

And don't keep it in plastic bags if you don't have to. When the plastic rubs together it makes static and the THC sticks to the sides of the bag, so you lose a lot.

If you're a computer nerd, get you one of the static-free bags that come with your computer hard drives or something similiar. The mylar bags. Those work really well AND they keep out light... Just stay away from your standard plastic bag.

its not a plastic bag its a double sealed ziplock bag if that even makes a difference but also what climate is better warm or cold because i can choose to leave it in a shed or in my room depending on what is better?

Keep it cold, well dried, open the bag every couple of weeks, check for signs of mold. I I I did it this way and stored gooood bag for little over a year and was still goood..

Cold temperatures will dry your weed out faster. It's all subjective though.

If it's good stuff and you don't carry it around on your everywhere, just get you a glass jar and keep it in the jar somewhere dark. Bright light hurts the potency of THC and breaks it down faster than it normally would.

Inside of your house is the better choice, obviously.. :P

well i wont have it for more then 2 weeks so do i have to worry about it drying in that short of a period if i keep it ziploc bagged in my shed? I live in NY so my shed goes to about 30degrees during the winter nights so it gets a lil cold. If my buds get too dry is anything going to get affected with them?>

Just listen to what the guy above me posted.

Just make sure it's sealed airtight and you're fine.. Don't sweat it man. Storing weed is not rocket science, it's just common sense.

Keep it in mason jars, the kind used for canning. I prefer the wide mouth type. I have kept bud in these jars for a year without losing potency or drying out. You don't need to freeze it this way and have instant access. You can freeze it if you want and it won't turn brown as quickly.

Plastic bags are not airtight and your weed will dry out quickly in them, even if you double bag it. They are good only for short time storage.

I get mine in plastic ziplock bags inside sealed foodpacking bags.

Yep the plastic container with a tight lid also works for the medium term...

The trick is to get it into storage as fast as possible as it was likely kept moist by being in a big pile at the dealer's and starts drying out when removed...
