i just germinated 200 seeds half feminized the other regular what will improve my chances of getting more females? i just started them all in rapid rooters this will be a soil grow... also im germinating them under a 1000watt mh..

Don't need light till they pop, make sure it is far away 1000 watter will kill your seedlings if to close

There are a lot of myths and folklore about making females, never seen any proof anywhere that any of em work but I'm sure others might tell em to ya or you could just get the bible from Jorge, he talks about it in his book

But to steer you in a real direction research eythelene gas

keep a higher humidity, around 70% -80% and you will get more females..
keep the temps about 70-75. the cooler temps give more females than males.. males like heat.
less stress, less stress = more females..
18-6 lighting schedule rather than 24-0 give more females..
females like a good nitrogen diet..
males like more k or p, cant remember which atm..

Just hire me to bless your seeds. Im 14-15 with females for my first two grows, and Ive stressed em out, over-watered, under-watered, temps 85+, low to mid humidity, etc. I dont buy too much into environmental conditions creating females or males. Surely Id have more males if all that stuff tokinman said is really true(dont take this as me attacking you). Of course sample size does come into play here. Just treat em good, and let nature surprise you.

I got 5 "freebie" Thai SS seeds with last years grow purchase, ALL 5 popped female!
I have been given to believe that your seed arrives "pre-sexed". They're either male or female. Stress and some other factors can cause hermorpheditism(sp), but that isn't the same thing as redetermining the sex of the entire plant. I can only think of humans being conceived from egg(seed), + sperm(pollen), and then have the parent(grower), DECIDE what sex the child(plant) will be. Doesn't really make sense.

it is all good.. that is just what i have read in the past.. heard people swear by it.. there was one guy who used this method over and over (from overgrow.com) and claimed 85-90% females from regular seeds all the time. in turn he wrote up a guide about it.. i just posted what i remember from the guide.. :weed:

I totally agree with you. They're either fem or not. I also don't buy into plants turning hermie over stress, as I've intentionally stressed the crap out of a plant, and still no hermie. It's all in the genetics, folks. Now *fem'd* seeds are a whole different story...I'd say those are much more likely to herm on someone than a straight out (natural) female seed.

Got that right, hell mine have light leaks, I smoke a few packs a day I tried to kill her several times, no hermie yet

should I cross my fingers or ask for Daves blessing LOL
