Best Way to grow in apartments

What is the best way to grow in a apartment without the neighbors figuring out what your doing? i have a full closet with a window, just worried the smell might be too strong during flowering season.

I have always grown in apartments. It's the only thing that I know. I use a Can - 66 carbon filter to filter the odor now. I started with a can - 33 when I was just in a closet though. Went to a can - 66 now that I have a spare bedroom that I use for growing. That 33 wasn't going to cut it anymore.

But I have people over to my apartment and as long as I lock the door to that bedroom they have no idea what's going on. I've got a 4x4 tent in their right now for flower and I converted the closet into a veg box. I'll probably add another 4x4 tent during the winter months when it's colder and run two flowering rooms.

I think its safe as long as the stuff isnt on a whole lot while you are at work/school. I am not growing a lot and 3 1/2 weeks into flower the windows being open and standard air fresheners are doing just fine. It does look like there is a light on in my room all night but Im not too worried about that it doesnt look bad from outside

good luck

Alright and do you think organic or hydroponics? I was wondering if anyone has ever seen an AEROJET in real life...i was thinking about investing in one....i was also looking at bubbleponics, but those look kind of cheaply made, and the pot nets seem real close together....any ideas anyone?

This is my first grow in a townhouse. I have my set up in the closet. Intake is coming up from under the house. This is my 3rd week of flowering. When the smell comes depending on how bad it is, I will cut an exhaust hole in the closet door with a DIY carbon filter! :joint::joint::joint:

Hope this helps!

Its your preference but i would go soil with organic nutes. Organic buds taste so much better. Hydro gets complicated and requires more equipment and $$$. Have you looked at Coco you get rapid growth like hydro but simplicity of soil. Thats what I may use on my next grow. Whatever you pick I would keep it organic. Those aero systems are expensive and complicated and you have to worry about clogged sprayers (not noob friendly). If you are set on hydro look up DIY rubbermaid DWC and Rumplebuckets. These will be cheaper and you can customize them to fit your needs. Buy/Make a carbon filter!

BTW Musicfire did you cut through your floor for your intake? i guess your not renting.

Yeah i was thinking soil also, but the way i figured if i was going to learn how to do grow, an i am mostly growing for profit, i thought i might as well first start with hydro. ive seen stealth hydroponics and I was thinking about trying one of there set ups to see how it works. It looks pretty newbie friendly but i am not sure. have you ever seen one of stealth hydroponics bubbleponics systems in action? was wondering if you could grow a big enough plant in those holes, or are they too close together? Sooo many questions lol.

If you want the advantages of soil and hydro I'd suggest Hempy buckets. They're incredibly easy, and you get the explosive growth of DWC.

I grow my hempies organic too. I keep a separate jug with a bubbler in it, an ongoing organic tea, to feed my hempies.

The trick to it is to start off with a live culture, compost tea or worm poop works well for the first infusion.

Every few days when I take some nutes I replace with some fresh food sources. The live culture breaks down the raw food sources and turns 'em into plant ready nutes.

I've had great success using nothing but molasses and fish emulsion as food sources.
