Im setting up 8x16 Gorilla tent im using soil with top drip drain to waste. What is the best way to drain run off? I like to over water with a lot of run off. I've used shop vacs, and pumps to remove water. I know you can build water tight floor with pond liner at a slight angle and put a drain valve on, or use Botanicare trays with drain valve. Im restricted in height and im not a fan of leaving standing water inside room. What's is the smartest way to do this to be completely automated? Also does anyone have experience with Gorilla tents water catcher, the liner that comes with tent, is it water proof enough to handle a few inches of standing water without leaking? Or should I get a pond liner and use it to make sure it dosen't leak?

Don’t use the water catcher. It will mold quickly.

I would either run a drain pipe from the drain on your tray to the floor drain or drain into a flat res and pump it out of there. You want the water out especially in a tent.

If you have a floor drain handy, use a bucket in a bucket setup. Bottom bucket has a hole in the side near the bottom, put a 3/4" grommet in and a 3/4" barbed fitting, chain them all up and run to the floor drain. Top bucket has a bunch of 1/4 or 3/8" holes in it for drainage, you put the plant in this bucket and set it in the bottom bucket.

I have used this setup in my basement grows and it works great. But you do need a floor drain. Without a floor drain you could elevate the plants a little and chain them to a bucket outside the tent that is at floor level, then put a condensate pump in there to pump the water up to drain level.

You're obviously working on a larger scale than me here but this is my setup, the 2gal ebb n flow buckets drain into the "catch bucket" in the center which is equipped with a float valve activated pump that sends the runoff straight out an exterior wall. because it is float valve activated there is about an inch of water that stays in the catch bucket, i just sprinkle some pool shock in there once every couple weeks to keep it from growing algae/mold, the way the ebb n flow buckets are designed to drain+my strategic use of back flow prevention connections means that the chlorinated leftovers will never backwash into the buckets.

The white nipple in the lower right hand corner of this photo shows where my drain out line is connected to, it runs through the exterior wall directly into a small garden bed on the side of the house.

oh i know he does, hes actually the one who suggested the pool shock solution to me for keeping my catch bucket clean
Ya, he's probably getting tired of me talking him up all the time, and requesting advice, lol. I probably sound like an ass kisser, but I think his ass deserves some kissing, lol.
