BEST WAY TO CLEAN HYDROTRON AFTER HARVAST +rep

check it, get a drywall mud whip for a drill, a very large tub, something like this:

fill it with water, add your h2o2, make sure you wear protective gloves and goggles and let it circulate with that whip until all that organic material is broken off... let that shit soak for a while... then grab a collander and skim off all the hydroton, shizzam, should be clean, if you feel like it, load it into the oven...
Nice suggestion Defcomexperiment + REP, I was also going to suggest a drywall or paint whip in combination with a nice 1/2hp drill. You could use a large drum (25,35,55 gallons) with a large screened drain on the bottom. Cut a piece of plywood or similar material or if your lucky you can get a lid with the barrel and cut a slot in it that will allow you to move the drill one direction. I say to use a lid so that you can rest the drill upon it because I would imagine we are talking like a good 20 minutes of agitation and holding a 1/2hp drill for that long will make anyone tired. Depending on where you live you could place the barrel outside ontop of a few cinderblocks and build a fire underneath it or better yet use the turkey fryer element if it large enough to boil it. I would think with 20 min of good agitation with bleach or h2o2, with frequent water changes, would get the job done. Much like making hash...
I concidered doing a small experiment with some Lime-a-Way diulted into water and how it does. I live in an area with extremely hard water and that cleaner really attacks those hardend salts. I think it would just be a matter of making sure you got rid of all the cleaner afterwards...lots and lots and lots of water. Which for me would equal more salt....evil water.

Anytime hydrotron is dried out and allowed to sit it will create large amounts of dust from the friction I noticed the bags at a local nusery had what appeared to be some water content in them, so perhaps storing them in a sealed container with some sort of moisture would help in the prep time?
