Best Watering Schedule for 30% Coco / 70% Supersoil Soil Mix

New grower here!

Wanted to get the best of both worlds with a mix 30% of coco (for oxygen availability, watering ease, and drainage) and 70% organic super soil FFOF (nutrients, PH regulation, and organic). My issue is that I now don't know how often I should water my pots (5 gal) since I've heard coco can be watered daily, but super soil can easily be overwatered + I dont know when I should start top dressing with dry amendments since the mix of soil and coco is different than my normall 100% super soil runs where I start amending after 4 weeks.

Open to any advice here!

With that mix, you water it exactly like you would soil. Go by pot weight, water when it gets light.

It looks like the coco is retaining/holding the water much longer than the soil which is making me worried about overwatering, having to much moisture in medium.

Overwatering isn't how long a pot stays wet. It's the frequency of watering that causes overwatering.

Water until runoff. Wait until pot is dry and light. Repeat.

I wouldn't suggest doing that with seedlings though.

Noted! Still curious if its an issue if the soil is dark and moist for more than 7+ days. Could this be a symptom of my coco / soil mix?

My guess is you soaked the entire 5 gallon pot and the plant is tiny. It's going to take time to dry. Best way to check when to water is by weight. Get to know what a complete dry container of your medium feels like.

If you have a spare 5 gallon container fill it with your medium. You container with the plant should feel like that unwatered container before you water your plant again.

The plant is decent sized 2ft at least. Did a recent transplant from a 3 gal.

Still need to dial in the weight dryness on this pot I guess
