Best time to harvest?

What are people's preferences when it comes time to chop down? When the lights come on? In the middle their light schedule or at the end possibly? Or maybe even during the light out? Any experience's please post with what works best for you.

Personally I like to let them get the full dark cycle, kill the lights before they come on and harvest with the grow lights off and just normal "human" lighting.

Some people even let them get 24 hours of dark on the last nite before harvesting. Not sure that really makes much difference.

The theory is light degrades THC and the levels are highest right before the lights come on. Not sure how much difference there is, I am sure it's probably very minimal.

I did 48 hours and I noticed a dramatic increase in how wet the plants and buds felt for what ever that is worth. I also decreased temps which highly increased the purples and pinks of my buds.

Most people say after x hours or days of dark. Very few recommend harvesting during lights on. Chances are it won’t matter much. Just anytime that your great aunt won’t be stopping in to visit.

I've tried doing 24 hours of complete darkness and didn't notice anything. I usually chop a couple hours before the lights turn off just because of the time I get to tend my garden. I'm curious to who has cut just after the lights turned on or in the middle of the light cycle. I always thought that at the night the plants send sugars down to their roots so it would be better to harvest when the lights are on.

Actually the carbs go down to the roots and harvesting before they come back up with the lights gives smoother product.

I harvest one or two at a time perpetually so I pull the plant at or before lights on and cut it down into branches to hang in a half lit kitchen.

Never noticed a potency difference if i pulled in the middle of the cycle but the smoke was a little harsher off the vine.

Because of the low capacity for real discussion i forget a lot of stuff and its never covered but im pretty sure that theory was disproved and simply hanging the harvested buds reset the thc or somthing similar i refuse to google on.

Food for thought if you persue the info maybe :-)
