best strain for first grow?

I was lookin at some of the cheeper seeds on bcseeds for my first grow.

Im looking for a strain that is good indoors, fairly potent with nice yields, easy to grow, and can be grown outside with decent results also.

I was considering a few strains:
white widow
WW x sweet tooth
sweet diesel
ice
fuel
ak47

any advice?

i can only tell you about my 1st grow experience(work in progress)
the old beginner strain nl#5 is pretty easy and supposedly potent
fried my 1st one in bad soil, 2nd is screaming, about 6 days into flower
some of the breeds you listed aren't supposed to be that easy

my advice to you is save your money on seeds, get some free bag seeds, and invest the seed money into equipment, nutes, ect.. there is a lot more important things than seeds.. in fact seeds are the least important of all.. a good grower can grow good weed from shit seeds... there are so many things that can go wrong.. so many things to learn... no matter how much you read you cant be prepared for problems that arrise ... just because you know how to grow doesnt mean you know HOW to grow.. best thing to do is practice with cheap seeds.. get a couple grows under your belt.. learn about the nutes you are using.. work on making your grow area has a stable environment for your plants to grow.. basically learn to crawl before you walk.. im really not tryin to be shitty.. just tryin to save you so money, maybe.... any good grower will tell you the same thing...

good luck

i agree with sampson. don't waste your money first time on good seeds. and don't get yourself sketched about by having to worry about mail ordering seeds.

make your mistakes on whatever seeds you can find. growing is a steep learning curve, the things i know now compared to what i knew when i first started is astronomical. a lot of it comes from reading but most of it is from just fucking up and not doing it again on my next grow. (i swear my first grow was the longest most god-awful string of mistakes on the planet.)

getting your grow area tight is key. hope that helps. :peace:

i'm probably not a good source on which to avoid, just relating my limited experience
from what i've read on grow site's, the more sativa usually the more picky on growth, though not always
durban is supposed to be a fairly easy sativa, jack herrer less so

if you're absolutely set on buying then i would recommend:

1. blueberry
2. jack herer
3. northern lights

all easy, serious fucking buds and great tasting. :peace:

MY tips....2 most important looking back.....Get a digital PH meter $30 not including storage/cleaning solution.......Use fox farm soil Ocean-other soils take experience to make work with much tweaking.....BY no means is this weed easy to grow into good bud. Becomes more of a hobby to insure project finishs well. OH, one more......no nuts till week 4 from seed in soil....repeat....no nuts till week 4 from seed...now repeat after me....or you will burn them....GL

i know a bit and have tried with bagseed before, but i didnt have a good area to grow in and they ended up dying, but i wouldnt really call that a grow.

this time ill have a better area and things should be better.

I have some seeds here that im tryin to germinate too, but their really old (like 3 years) and have just been sitting there for about a week now doing nothing >.>

i understand the previous comments on using bag seeds and it does make some sense
however, if you start out with a one seed grow to get your bearings, purchased seed does have advantages
it's one less unknown in a very complex equation, if you don't go overboard on expensive seed, cost is small
i fried my first seed/plant - $4 - that i could live with
and i was pretty sure it was my fault as i knew other experiences with breeder/strain were good
my 2 cents

I'm growing kc brains- northern lights special, they all germinated and r growing alright atm , I've read that they would b ok for an outside grow, so i'm hopin. You wonna go with a hardy sort ov plant for ya first time and outside, Also nirvana's a good seed bank, plenty ov variety at a decent price.Good luck.

mind you that i have no experience with the strains you listed
i'd say the white widow, excellent quality, doesn't seem to have bad rep for difficulty

northern lights is pretty rudimentary, but than again so are all of them. Choose whatever you want, they are all similar. I find auto are the easiest, but if want to learn how to veg and flower seperately to see the procedure, id say any skunk strain or northern lights. Widow is fairly easy man, and you can ask questions throughout the process ..

for an easy setup, I would use peat moss with mycorise, and part A and B nutes. General consensus is 14 - 20 days from seeds 1/4 strength nutes at most.

none of those bro. go with Early Misty for six reasons
1 it an easy to grow plant, very hard to kill.
2 low maintenace
3 Early Misty will finish earlier than most plants, so you get better weed faster. (alot of newbies cut down premature plants because they are anxious for their first plant.)
4 seeds are cheap
5 when you click on the Nirvana banner and order seeds it helps pay for advertising on RIU, so it helps the site.
6 it comes recommended by BigTomatoFarmer. I grew this when I first started a few years ago, and it was some killer bud!!
