Best strain for begginners?

I heard Northern Lights was very good for first time growers. I've also heard good things about hindu kush.
I plan on growing outdoors, and maybe a little baby indoor plant or two.

I'm not a pro and don't have thousands to spend on high tech equipment, either.

Any personal preferences or stories?

Input appreciated.

Skunk #1 is said to be really easy to work with, and great for beginners. Yeilds well too, that's why most hybrids are crossed with it. You can get some feminized Skunk #1 pretty cheap as well.

any number of strains can be fairly easy to grow try growing short flowering strains like maple leaf indica ,, opium , cali orange strains that flower in 8-9 weeks

My first grow was White Widow and Blueberry. The WW did great and was even resilient to my rookie mistakes.

The Blueberry on the other hand... died.... I killed 6 of em while learning what the hell I was doing. I've since then read that Blueberry can be fussy.... so probably not the best choice for a 1st time grower.

On my grow of AK-47... and while its not going SUPER smooth... doubt it's the seeds fault

from what I understand AK-47 is one of the STRONGEST "easier" seeds to sow

I grew 6 Jock Horror and one plant was a hermie. Are Hermie plant seeds usually produce more Hermie or is it just toss up; being male and hopefully females plants ?

I picked Northern LIghts x Shiva for my first grow. I didn't know what I was doing.....but got some ok smoke from my first plant.

It was super easy to clone and my 2nd round of plants came out much better. I'm currently drying the clones i harvested about 2 days ago. So far, the buds I've dried in the microwave have been very good...as good as some of the best stuff i've bought in the past. Better than the top shelf $75/8th from a dispensary.

Here's my thread with pics from a few weeks ago.

If you have a timer and not leaving the lights on all night by accident during flowering etc. Got some decent nutes, then I really don't see how one strain is so much harder to grow than another. Get the best genetics you can afford. I only have a few posts on RIU but i've grown 10 different strains at least and the only real difference was flowering time. Always start your nutes at half dose.

What Latitude do you live in...You have to make sure you have adequate sun to grow good weed in...If its not a lot of sun...try to get a mold resistant strain...I would say the best bet is Northern Lights or a comprable strain. My best advice would be to spend as little money as possible and make sure you know what you are doing before just going out and planting. Is it in your yard or are you Guerilla Growing?...We need more information man...

Those sound like good options. I have some Kush seeds but I haven't popped any yet. The outdoor strain I'd like to try growing the most is Durban Poison. I like Sativas.

I've grown two bagseeds and things have gone smooth.. other than teh first one, which almost died from lack of attention.. and I put some ant posion in it. but tings went smooth.. my problme is curing and drying.. I don;t know what i'm doing and I cant stay outta my stash.. that was last years problems.. i've ran into a few but nothing i havent been able to handle.. it's just begginer's luck i feel..

I wanna get some good seeds, but don;t wanna waist my money.. I wanna get a mix of seeds, and not just one pack.. what would be the best way of going, remember im in the US

I've thought about trying these to get a variety of seeds. I haven't ordered from this site but others on here have. I would look it up if the search would work :|

World of Seeds - Sativa Collection
world of seeds sativa Collection
World of Seeds - Indica Collection
world of seeds Indica Collection

They are described better here but they don't ship to the US:

World of Seeds - Sativa Collection
Sativa Collection - cannabis seeds
World of Seeds - Indica Collection
Indica Collection - cannabis seeds

Some amazing strains like oj kush were created from hermies and you have a good strain ,, I'd grow those seeds and see :blsmoke:

bag seed is the most forgiving but northern lights are very hardy and vigorous... I'm growing nl#5/haze on my first indoor grow and I put it through hell :fire: I'm sure,,,but she just kept on growing toward the light :weed:
