Best soil mix?

I think ocean forest is too hot so I’m looking for maybe a mix that isn’t so hot so my plant won’t get stunted or have any nitrogen toxicity. I was thinking about happy frog for the top soil and some promix

I’m using ffof right now with about 40% perlite in it. that seems to work great. For my next grow I wanna mix ffof and happy frog, that’s what I would suggest to you! I didn’t use any nutes either during veg and just straight water and had no burn, but every plant is different!

Thanks man for the feedback I was thinkin the same thing too. What about during flower? Do you add your amendments 1st week of flower

I use regular old promix with some added perlite. Good results just using gh nutes start to finish.

Nice man! I forgot to mention I’m using just dry amendments thAts why I asked when should I top dress using ffof or any hot mixes in general. I have gh nutes in closet but haven’t touched em. Mixing half of what they tell me to put in should be fine for flower?

I stick at half and havent had a problem. Have had a few that wanted more, but never burned anything.

I have no experience with ffof or hf. Promix is very lighty amended.

I can’t find where to order that all purpose pro mix... and I guess this fruity pebbles I’m growing doesn’t like it that much lol nitrogen toxicity week 2 of flower

I just buy it at home depot. Wallmart may have it. You do not want to pay for shipping on a bale

I use just promix. And add my own nutrients. I love the stuff. And I did that mix like you want the first time I used it. Worked out good.

Im new to soil. I have buddy swears by miracle grow organics container formula. He gave me a couple bags to try well see. Anyone else try it? Its $11 a bag compared to $20+ for stuff from grow shop for much smaller bags.

I bought a pallet of some do it all Michigan soil seems good but pricey af.
