I have several strains that I still have not popped yet from AWB but here's an update, the two Purple Cactus and the Auto were planted same day. The one purple cactus is turning out to be a super vigerous grower right out of the gate.

Okay so here's my question.

The concept of selling a "novelty item" I wouldn't think would get these companies around interstate commerce charges when shipping from say Oregon to New York for example. From my understanding - which could be wrong and I'm hoping to have this explained clearer to me by the more knowledgeable here - Seeds are considered marijuana (ie. illegal federally) in the US, therefor, shipping outside of legal states would be a great risk, and easy to track with US based credit card processing etc.

I've worked with overseas banks for years in internet marketing, and I understand that when leaving spain or Amsterdam the seeds are legal, but upon receipt in the US it's illegal. They still ship worldwide, but they're not US based, don't bank here, etc. But I'm looking for more information on this.

I've made oveseas banks significant amounts of money over the last decade, and would love to work with a US bank, or even partner with/fund one to help them capture more share, but the legalities have never seemed favorable.

Hopefully times have changed in the last few years. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

A little more research found this - from Seedman's blog, from an attorney, with this being a good summation

Less controversially, cannabis seeds can be purchased without too great of a legal concern if the seeds are used for non-marijuana plant producing purposes. For example, purchasing marijuana seeds for use as fishing bait, bird food, preservation or other more abstract purposes is totally legitimate. The reason why individuals may want to use cannabis seeds for less conventional purposes is due to the seeds’ high protein, amino acid, and vitamin components. All websites that sell cannabis seeds should strive to avoid the dangerous legal consequences of selling marijuana inappropriately to non-sanctioned buyers. Ultimately, like all things cannabis, there is unfortunately still a risk involved for both the buyer and the seller.

My concern would be to make the case in court that what we were selling was for the high protein content, when the websites all clearly explain Yield, height, etc. I don't think that's an arguement worth paying for in US court.

Just got another order from Greenpoint Seeds. Very fast service on my fifth order. Pioneer Kush, Purple Mountain Majesty and California Cannon. Thoroughly enjoying the last year exploring Chem and OG Kush families. No stones yet from Greenpoint.

AuroraWindsBotinacal is my go to seed site. Received my seeds in 3 days .... so cool. I am sure in time the selection will increase but what they have so far is awesome and finally realistic pricing.

the problem with seeds is you never know if its legit.

I suggest you find the breeder you like and email them and ask where to buy or order them from.

I like a lot of Exotic Genetix Seeds, LaPlata Labs they both replied to my emails, saying seedsherenow

whatever breeder you may like, do the homework, do everything you can to make sure its from the breeder.

the packaging from the breeder should never be opened or in baggies(exce[t freebies) most of them change their packaging often. check their Instagram page see what he latest looks like.

...and again

we should have a seeds sticky, by Uk/US and make a list of seed brokers.

I dont care if they are legit as long as they have thc im all good

OK guys I have to make up for a big mistake I made regarding Upper Canada Seed Bank.

I placed an order for Afghan Kush from them about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I have been talking A LOT of shit about them. It really started in my head when I read the reviews AFTER placing my order. Only 4 total reviews and 1 was bad and 3 were great. 75% aka C avg. really got me worried.

I was 100% convinced they stole my money because I wasn't able to get in touch with them through the 3 emails I sent over the last week. Finally I wrote a SCATHING email the other day and they replied so kindly apologizing for dropping the "conversational ball". They swore to me that the seeds were indeed on their way and that as a show of good faith they refund my money and told me that I could pay them when the seeds arrived... I just got the seeds today and have sent them an email to charge my card again for the order.

This was a test run for $40 bucks just to see if I could trust them... They have one of the LARGEST selections from so many breeders at such low prices that I just had to try them out.

I now know I can trust them with my money and am just trying to "right" all that shit I talked about them.

I'm also going to post this in the UCSB forum too.... I feel terrible.
