I pay $50 for a bag at the shop near me.
It lasts a long time, since its so compressed.
I think its worth it.
Found the b'cuzz for $60 here locally, the ocean forrest is about $15. They gotta order the b'cuzz. Both are for the biggest bags. Shipping for soil is crazy expensive, might as well get it in person....... or have a bag get ripped open via fed-ex.

I'm gonna buy a big rubber bin to mix and hold the soil. Keep it fresh

Vermifire, I've personally don a no-water harvest and it works fine as long as you give it room in the pots, i'd recommend nothing smaller than a 8 gallon container, bigger is better.
If I were to do it again, i'd add a quarter cup of neem meal, crab meal and kelp mean to every bag.
But you said you didn't want to add anything

i meant not adding any liquid nutes, or enhancers....just the soil/less medium. Sounds like a killer recipe. Might as well invest more in the soil..if anything. I kinda wanna mix a bunch of stuff up in one of those bins and make it as rich as possible.

careful, I personally wouldn't add anything more than what I said, vermifire is pretty rich already, and you could mess some stuff up.
If you are wanting a good soil, id also add worm casting or a good compost too, and maybe a bag or two of biochar.
if you want to re-use your soil i'd def get biochar, and add some slow release minerals too, like oyster shells, greensand, etc.
I wouldn't add more than a total of a cup of amendments per bag.
1/4 of crab meal, 1/4 of neem meal, 1/4 of kelp meal, and 1/4 cup of rock dusts (azomite, rck phosphates, basalt, granite dust, etc)
for every 1.5 cubic feet of vermifire (one bag) i'd also add about a full gallon of compost or EWC, could probably add a lil less if it's fresh EWC

So I got the following:

Ocean Forrest
B'cuzz hydrosoil (coming in 1 week)
Neem seed meal
Kelp meal

They didn't have any crab meal but I'm gonna hit up another store later and grab some.

Is there anything else besides what I listed above that I should also grab later?

I don't know, I haven't used the b'cuzz before, and I haven't used the ocean forrest as a mix base before either.
I would speculate that minerals would be needed, just don't leave out the crab meal, the neem and crab meal mix is VERY effective at preventing pests.
other things I like are rabbit manure, alpaca manure, insect frass (or meal).
Don't forget the compost/EWC, that's the cornerstone for an organic setup

I'm all about adding in trace minerals.

I've had great success with a product called "Sea-90"
http://www.seaagri.com/

There are other products such as, elemite, azomite, glacial rock dust. Any of these will add to your soil without any conflict.

As mentioned above, insect frass is beneficial organic matter to have available in your soil.

EWC and Compost are important. I've had great success with "Worm Gold Plus".

These are products I have had great results from using.

Ok so I'm going to these at the other store:

Crab meal
Compost/EWC

if they have both of the compost/EWC which one should I get?

If you can find the brand of worm castings I listed (Worm Gold Plus), go with those.

As for compost, depending on where you are, you may be able to get some from a local farmer? Which would mean it would be more fresh.

Otherwise, depending on what they have available at what store you goto..

I've heard good things about "Bu's Blend Biodynamic Compost", I've not used it myself.

Also, have heard good stuff about, "Dr. Earths" Products, again have not used myself.

These are just two available options. I'm sure there are a lot more.

I was trying to do the same thing but It kinda runs into problems.

You can run a very hot soil (Subcools SuperSoil) however you run into the problem of seedlings not being able to tolerate it with the possiblity of burn. In fact they recommend you run a less enriched soil on the top half of your pot and the supersoil on the bottom. However I've been using it for months now and I like the performance. I would like to see the addition of silica to the mix. But generally it is pretty good.

After discussing this with a couple of "pros" the dudegrows.com they highlighted a problem with supersoils, and if the blend is going to work with a certian strain. Scotty reasons there might be some soil formulas that dont work with every strain. This is why they prefer top-feeding vs. enriched soil.

If I was going to try a true "no feed" solution. I would consider using promix bx with aptus base boost. It should cost less than subcools formula with no cook time and the pellets are time release. Thats just me tho'.

Ok so I got remaining items:

Crab meal
Glacial rock dust
EWC
Trace minerals

Should I mix all ingredients into the ocean forrest, and then mix accordingly with the B'cuzz mix when it gets here. How much of all this stuff do I put into the Ocean Forrest?

personally, if I am understanding what the bag of b'cuzz is, its aeration, correct? Sorta like promix?
i'd mix with the aeration (b'cuzz) seems to me it'd be a lil safer, either that or maybe mix it with the EWC?
Mixing it with the ocean forest may leave "hot" spots if you don't mix well.
Course if you do a thorough job of mixing, it's all sorta irrelevant
