Best position and timing for UV lamp in my tent?

Hey guys :)

So I've just installed a migro UV310B into my tent (my first time trying UV):

And I have 2 questions I was hoping I could get some help with.

1.
I cant place the UV lamp directly above my plant because of the way i have my LEDs set up (I just moved the big one higher today as the tips of a couple of the top leaves were beginning to brown).
I decided to put the lamp to the side of the plant and angle it as best I could so the reflector faces the canopy. This is what can be seen in the picture.
I could also just hang the light normally right next to my LED light but it would be off center for the plant.
Which do you think is best? On the side and angled towards the plant or above the plant but to the side?

2.
Some days it gets really hot in my tent - not every day but when its hot outside it can get to 40+ Celsius at midday. I'm running DWC with a water chiller so the plant can survive if its not too hot for too long... However, it's recommended to run the UV lamp for 2 hours at mid light cycle which coincides with when it is hottest in the test.
I was wondering if it would be better to run the UV lamp earlier in the morning when it wont be too hot so its less likely for the plant to experience extreme heat and UV at the same time...
What do you think is best? UV Lamp on at mid light cycle or UV lamp on early morning to avoid the possibility of high temps + UV at the same time?

Thanks so much for your help guys. Such a great community!

I think your lamp is fine where it is located, I would use it mid day to try to mimic the suns natural cycle. The 18w lamp shouldn’t affect temps significantly. I do think you need to do something to better get temps under control though, 40C is way too high. You shouldn’t be exceeding 30C. Either increase ventilation or add an A/C. Running your lights at night might be a good idea as well.

Curious what your schedule for uv light. Just put in some into my room and wasn't thinking turning on and off throughout the day cycle. Maybe hour on and hour off. I just get scared don 12 hours non stop. Any More thoughts on this?
