Blue dream. The market is small, specially outdoor, but if just for you, there will be lots of dank. Big yield and top notch smoke. Let them go all the way and they get a little color but crazy resin production by mid oct.

Above average size bud big dense buds, leaves covered out to the tips. The only draw back to dream is a lot of people grow it. Did a full run 2 years ago but still alway get one or two in a grow for my special stash. Only had 2 this year but they did 1 per in not ideal locations, so that qualifies as a yielder to me and lots of people do much better than that with her.

Kushes does great.

My winner this year was KC36 and a strain from Stockton called Aurora Kush. Heavy yield on the Aurora Kush.

A lot of the 'Big Boys' in calif. grow blue dream because of the hardy nature of the plant. Plus the yeild is great. I've seen 2 1/2 lb plants growing at an 'aquaintanaces' place. Fairly resistant to mold if that is a problem in your area.

Personally I have done well with Power Plant from Nirvana, White Widow, and if your tastes lean toward a sativa, then c99 does excellent in our area as it has a very short flowering time. C99 actually matured faster than my Indicas. If I remember right, I harvested mine around 2nd week in Oct. ( Its been a few years ). I have also had good luck growing the original OG Kush last year. Watch out for mold on this one though, as the dense nature of the buds are succeptible to bud rot.
Anything with g13 in its heredity does well as g13 is paticularly resistant to mold and bugs for some reason. I grew some Mr. Nice last year which is a cross between G13 and hashplant, and had no problems with mold at all and spider mites, while present, seemed to do very little actual damage to the plant. Mr. Nice was harvested late Oct.
Try to steer clear of anything that has longer growing periods than 8 weeks ( flower time ) as the danger of early winter storm damage can cause serious trouble. Unless you have a covered grow. The Indicas as a rule are the first choice.

Just my two cents worth

I did a grape ape(pictured) this year that turned out wonderful. Its an indica and definitely produced some very nice main colas after much hard work. As always though bigger pots will give you bigger plants. Also Rhino Wreck turned out very well this year. It was done in a much small pot but produced some of the nicest buds out of the crop.20120831_183155.jpg

nice !..what was yield on that?

Hindu Kush and Green Crack will both yield huge with little help.
If you are a purp lover id recommend Urkle for the outdoors.
Almost forgot Great white shark by GHS, only strain id grow by them and only OD but it gets nice and fruity, very mold resistent with nice yield of dense bud. Nice calming mellow high semi potent but long lasting even when your used to OG's.
