Best Nutrients? And organic growing pros/cons?

Just wanted to know what the most affordable but best quality nutrients i should go with for first grow? Im sure its been asked but it pairs with my other question of what are the pros/cons to an organic grow?

worm crap is my favorite fert

I'm running 40% coco, 30% worm castings, and 30% perlite. I add a small amount of guano and kelp meal to the mix and I water with distilled/molasses. Every month I top-dress again with the worm castings. When I transplant my females I add in a little mykos and that is all I need. My plants are happier now that when I was buying entire lines of ferts. Tastes better too. Diff folks like diff things but my end product is always very tasty and burns to a white ash. It cost's me very little to grow.

I almost forgot.. I never check PH. Never have to. I also don't have to use calmag with my distilled water since the worm poop and molasses has enough.

Personally, I've been using the Expert Grower Level bundle, which includes one organic - Bud Candy - and it's awesome.

The only trick with organics is that they can be a little tough to predict. Chemicals are a little less messy, it seems.

On the other hand, I like a clean smoke, so organics are very appealing to that part of me...but the lazy part of me sticks with what works with little fuss....LOL

I wouldn't call Advanced the best either. Personally If I wanted very good quality nutrients for an affordable price I would say Earth Juice all the way. I have grown a better quality product from EJ Organic line then I did from the complete line of Advanced. If you wanted the best Nutrient line available I would never recommend anything else but House and Garden. The only Nutrient line I have used that has compared to H&G has been EJ so I would fully recommend that as a cheap substitute to H&G. You can probably pick up the complete line for 60 bucks at most. I should also mention using a line like EJ will be very easy for a beginner. Their complete line consists of 5 products and everything is laid out for you. If you email them they will give you an easy to understand chart to go off of for flower veg etc. If you decide you don't want organic then I have heard VERY good things about their Elements line. It is a 4 part nutrient line that is IMO the easiest line to use and would cost you no more than 50 dollars. For a beginner it is a very good place to start. You don't need all those additives until you know what they do for your plant.

Advanced is way over hyped. The Collective I worked at used Advanced until my grows with H&G kept outperforming them every month. Long story short did a side by side comparison and H&G had the same yield with higher THC content and just an overall better looking and tasting smoke.

For quality and cheapness: Dynagro, floragrow/florabloom, maxigrow/maxibloom. these are all fairly complete and pretty inexpensive.

Yeah, I basically have this same question. I was planning on using Super Soil, but b/c I just found out SS has to "cook" for 30 days, I am going to have to use Plain Roots Organic with EWC added. I was also thinking of making a little hotter mix for the bottom of the final xplant with maybe some bat/bird guano and some blood/bone meal?

Any advice on what nutrients might/will be needed after veg. phase has used up all of what started in the RO Soil?

Best nutes i've ever used was supernatural brand nutes. Simple, economical, and straight forward. None of this adding 8 different parts to make the plant grow.... What bullshit... And powders, long as they dissolve perfect are much better. No preservatives, no buying water!

use Supernatural Gro Terra and bloom terra in soil and use the Aqua series for coco, hydro, aero etc. www.supernaturalbrand.com

Organics? Yeah good n' all. But you should check out the heavy metal analysis on the washington ag website..... Organics are sometimes full of heavy metals.... I don't like that... i don't wanna be smoking mercury. also i want to be growing high performance and organics don't perform like the sythentics (in my experience).

Not many people are using them from what I've seen, but a california company recently came out with a 3part line up called "Cutting Edge Solutions". The gallon jugs are I think $25-32 each, not bad at all seeing as how the application rates are on the lower side and its a whole gallon. Not to mention that they put no dyes in their products.

I have been running this line for the first time (see below in my sig) and I'm loving it. Clean res, no salt buildup, and I only have to adjust my PH when I res change. It literally stays at the correct PH for a week, it's really nice haha. Seems like the plants love the nutes and it's quite hard to nute burn em with CES too. I would recommend adding a CalMg supplement to this 3part though. Other than that.....CANNA if you can afford it . I think AN's line is ridiculous...so much you don't need.

Compost tea is awesome along with guanos....plants love that shit. Just make sure you pick your ingredients carefully when running hydro, can have res problems.

Im going to be doing a side by side this year outside

half organic using Botanicare PBP and also Gen. ORg Biothrive

the other half will be Gen. Hydro Flora nova and FF tiger bloom+big bloom

I would rather do 100 percent organic but i dont know if i will yield as much

when it comes to ferts advanced nutrients is the best hands down but its also the most expensive and there are other cheaper ferts that are almost just or just as good that said advanced nutrients pirana which contains microbes michorhizzal and trichoderma(funguses) 26 kinds that can expand root mass by 700% and maximize absorbtion of oxygen nutrients and water and tarantula (57 colony forming microorganisms 1.4 billion per gram) and most importantly voodoo juice which increases root mas by 90% with 12 special types of bacteria(bacillus and paenibacillus) these 3 products will greatly increase your quality and yield its well worth the money along with a few of there products. chemical ferts destroy microorganisms not all but they greatly diminish ur microorganism army everytime you use them so i wouldnt bother if using chemical ferts which are ridiculous to use unless your growing hydro you can get a higher and better yeild when growing organic indoor its all about creating a soil culture of microbes that do all the work no need for ferts when mastered can grow a yeild close to hydro but way better smell & taste. my grow recipe is 2-1 ocean forest to light warrior and add worm castings (not over 15%) coco peat and ph balancer and for base flora nova or iguana juiceor age old voodoo juice,pirahna,tarantula and as a secondary nutrient compost tea,nirvana,kelp meal and to top it off superthrive vitamins it also helps to add some worms all these things create a huge microbial environment and yeild huge amounts of chronic just short of hydro yeild and speed fish emultion is amazing and bat guano but smelly and messy when working indoors. Biobizz growm bloom and root juice rock for soil grows and aint too expensive in europe, hesi is good too, plant magic old timers has a good rep but I`ve never used it but I have used their catalyst and that was cool.

Done a few organic grows with poor results, switched to chemical and never looked back. organic never produced the goods and when i switched to chemical the difference in the plants were unreal. Use Dutch pro A+B grow and bloom + Explode. In my experience more likely to have problems with chemical ( PH problems , nuteburn , lockout ect. ) , but its worth it. Good luck !.

I get the best results with the Dried Blood and Triple Phosphate, it's cheap easy. I don't have to worry about my Ph.
If I knew what I know now I would have saved close to a grand in nutrients and nutrient supplements. And the time keeping track of what week each plant is on, and the time it takes to mix up your nutrients.

I did the math at one point, and found that House and Garden offers the best bang for your buck. The recommended volume amounts on the labels seem pretty accurate, and their stuff sure makes for happy plants.

Dont have to worry about ph lol? Your plants are fried there bud.

the difference for me is that I don't want to smoke pesticide residue. Look at what is actually in Spectracide and Bayer Insecticides and Sevin, etc, and to extend this thinking a bit, do you want to smoke "other ingredients" which comprise 90-99 percent of a lot of plant foods commonly available? I'll smoke piss and crap and boiled veggies, fruit juices, and juiced veg matter, etc all day long as opposed to methyl-9-carboxyl-acetate.

I also don't worry about Ph...I don't even know what the hell that is to tell you the truth. JK. but of all the things to worry about... I just look at my plants and keep good records and never use too much of one thing. I never use a nute full strength or a soil exclusively, I always mix and dilute everything, you can't go wrong with that.
