Best nute choice promix hp mycorrhizae?

I've finally moved from using Miracle-Gro moisture control soil 0.18-0.10-0.10 to promix and now want to change up the nutes too.

Indoor growing, flowering in 3x3 tent
Marshydro FCE-3000, 300 watt
18/6 veg 12/12 bloom
3 gal Fabric pots
Promix HP mycorrhizae
City Tap water

I'm using a "keep it simple" growing method, so I just water/feed every couple days.

Currently using blue salts Miracle-Gro 24-8-16 veg and 15-30-15 bloom

I've just sowed 8 seeds for the next run, so I will be choosing nutes based on feedback.

I've tried Advanced Nutrients M/G/B, General Hydroponics MaxiGro/MaxiBloom and Mega Crop one part in ProMix Hp.

I would rate the Mega Crop as first, the GH as second. If you don't mind mixing in ml's with multiple bottles AN works just fine too !

Mega Crop and GH are dead simple, g/L and done ! Neither of them require bud/bloom boosters, save your money....

AND ProMix HP is ph buffered and so is Mega Crop, no need to ph your water !

Then buy plain epsom salts at drug store. It should be less than a buck a pound.
Get two five gallon buckets with a gasket airtight lid. The whole Part A bag can be put in the bucket. The Part B is very hydroscopic. You will want to break the 25# bag into sealed quart ziploc bags and then place those in the bucket.
Then as you need, pull from the buckets and fill a couple mason jars or deli containers for daily use.

This 3 part mix can be tweeked to run higher N for veg, then lower N and more PK for flower.
If you want to really geek out, you can DL Hydrobuddy and get exact PPM numbers, EC estimates and grams per liter measurments.

Jacks 321 seems like a solid choice.

Problem is sourcing, I'm in southern Alberta, Canada.

Also, I'm just a personal use grower, 1 - 3 plants in a 3x3, definitely not buy 25lbs, that would last me 100 years lol

Okay, Greenleaf Nutrients is notorious for being out of stock of the smaller bags of Mega Crop one part.

The GH MaxiGro/Bloom is ~$60 for 2.2# of each on Amazon.


And some growers recommend using just the MaxiBloom for the whole grow.

Or $23 for 2.2# of either Gro or Bloom at indoorfarmer.ca but it's a $99 order to qualify for free shipping...

Almost makes sense to pay $120 for the Mega Crop and get 2 1/2 times the amount of product

They sell smaller bags of Jacks but they aren't as good of a deal. Jacks is good shit, very simple to use and effective.

I’ve been using Envy dry nutrients. Basically like Jack’s except it’s only 2 parts. I grow in Pro Mix HP or lately Sunshine 4. Great results and really affordable. Been in business making this since the 60’d for hydroponic growers so it’s been proven.

I picked up Megacrop 2 part because I couldn't get Jacks in BC. Same NPK as Jacks, also with a 15.5-0-0 Cal Nitrate pt B. I use Epsom also, running 3.2-2.4-1 The whole way so far at wk 4 flower with variable PPM strength and a quick sip of .5ml/gal GH FloraBloom at transition because I have a bunch sitting around. No epsom on that feed, FloraBloom has sulphur and magnesium. Not a recomend on the FloraBloom, just what I did. The MC feed is very flexible as mentioned, and I like the all the amino acid chelates instead of the EDTA etc. which are being found in enviro and animals where it shouldn't be. Plus, they seem to work well. I'm active on other forum 1620 as ReservoirDog. Feed is new to me, 1st grow. Good luck, eh.

Lambs Bread front left, Double Chocolate back right and Durban Poison front right on MC.

The Green Crack back left is on MaxGro/Bloom and there was an Amnesia Auto in the middle up until a couple weeks ago.

It was also on MaxiGro/Bloom....

That shit’s way overpriced. Always has been. And everytime i tried it I didn’t get any better results than I do from other cheaper nutes j/s.

Maxibloom is going to be the easiest actual 1 part fertilizer and it is designed to be dosed in teaspoons so gramming it out or making liquid stock concentrates isn't necessary. I personally had issues with pH crash using it but you may have better luck than I also I think promix HP is a lot more buffered than coco/perlite.

There is no "Best". There are numerous fertilizers that will all provide the plants the nutrients they need and lead to the same results.
