Best MMORPG Ever

text based, 3 month long rounds, mmorpg, play it free or buy a cheap gold membership, multiple styles/worlds to play in. no downloads, completely server based, i can access it from my cell phone or work pc with no problems. play it alone or join a clan.
can be tricky to learn at first, but once you pick it up the strategy aspects it starts to get fun.

I played Evercrack..er Everquest back in the day when it was new. Around 99'-01'. Got way to addictive to me and I had to quite, I cant believe it, but the game is still around even after a decade!

I played runescape as sad as that is.. MMORPGs will ruin your life, they are these deadly addictions, like heroin. They suck up your life like a dyson vacuum. Even when you realize how pointless it is and that it will get you nowhere in life, you still cant stop playing.

If you like grinding, I mean if you are hardcore dedicated to grinding yourself up to be top shelf. A high points kind of man, I'd say there would only really be one logical choice; Life. Games are sweet, my favorite mmo is eve online, but other than that I lost interest over time. Best investment of time is to play the game you were born into.

Hahaha, I played asheron's call a ton when i was like 8 years old. i got up to level like 98 when i was 9. I recently played the trial. No community will ever be as good as asherons call <3

no one has mentioned Diablo II??? That game is amazing until the 420th time ya beat it!

i got the first max level of my class on my server, and then i realized i had picked the shittiest class in the entire game... the dark templar

haha no thats not the only reason why that games not very good


it had so much potential, and at times was bad ass

i had a bad experience because the class was literally broken, an entire class based on % chance


anyway, the reason its bad is because at end game, there is maybe about 6 raids you can do, with little to no pvp because 90% of their original subscriber base got tired of nothing to do once your 80


i would literally log on, run around is circles and talk on vent cause there was absloutely nothing to do

log on, go to kheshatta, duel some people, over and over again

thats it

MMORPGs suck in my opinion because there is no concrete purpose. It's all about leveling up and shit.

man, of course there is a purpose, its the purpose of all games, its to kick the shit out of your fellow player

people like beating people, its fun, especially when your running around killing everyone and nobody can stop you


personally i cant wait for star wars the old republic

I had a concrete purpose when i used to play Star wars Galaxies.
Destroying Rebel scuim and sympathizers.
Defending the empire for the good of the Galaxy.


some games do offer a lot of content.

I did play a Star Wars game that I was online and it was extremely fun.

The first response is all this thread really needs. MMOs may be fun your first time getting into them but you might end up getting addicted and waste a lot of your life on something you will have no memories of and something that doesn't get you anywhere in life.

All forms of entertainment could be considered a waste of life.

I am simply recommending from personal experience to take up a different hobby and don't start playing MMOs.

You can do what you want, but don't say I didn't tell you so when you type /played and it tells you 100 days.
