Best method for storing seeds?

Well i have some seeds laying around and i was wondering what is the best method to store them somewhere safe so that they could germinate later on. I heard that putting them in the freezer will allow them to last longer, or just put them in a dark place where humidity and everything else will not affect them. Currently they are in the original bubble rapper that they came in and i have them in some sort of Rice.(what is this rice name so i can get some more). I want to save these genetics because the company does not sell them no more and i love there genetics. I do plan in the future to grow a couple of these seeds and stress the plant to get more seeds and save the genetics.

So what are your opinions and what is the best storing method that anyone has used.

These seeds are about 4 months or older so i want them to last for another 6 months or so.

Put them in a sealed container (glass jar will do) with a little pack of Silica Gel - comes with every electrical gadget you have ever bought or you can get it from radioshack or wherever.

Put container in a dark cool place, refrigerator is great ... but don't freeze them.

Freeze your buds and they will last a long time, freeze your seeds and you will most likely kill them.

The rice is acting in place of the silica gel, basically absorbing moisture. People use rice to dry out cell phones that've been dropped in water so I'm sure this is the same concept.

I keep my seeds in the fridge and they last for years. One thing to mention is if you freeze your buds be sure to leave them out 4-6 hrs at room temp BEFORE opening the jar. If not you run a serious risk of condensation forming inside the jar. And the frozen trichs fall off easily, you want to handle frozen bud very gently until they warm up.
