So basically as the title says i've done research on this site and shroomery but it tends to be very adverse in recomendations for the best method to start out with for more of a bulk compared to say brf cakes in a shoebox sized grow. I am aware of the importance of sterilizing everything and using a pc to sterilize the jars but I am interested in the best mediums and ingredients. any help or links to such would be greatly appreciated

There are more experienced growers here than me that will tell you casing is the way to go because you'll get so much more harvest.. But for beginners, BRF is the easiest. Go to YouTube and search "lets grow mushrooms" and watch that a few times. Except for the sterile procedures part, it's not much harder than baking a cake.

If you are willing to get a pressure cooker, use cased popcorn, hell you can even do the whole thing in mason jars and save yourself the trouble of fruiting chambers and the like.

I have posted canndo's ultimate easy fruiting method several times - it works every time and in my opinion far surpasses any other beginning method.

I had 100% success with this set up. It's intended for noobs. Takes all the leg work out and all you do is inject spores and they even give you a great technique for doing it to lower the chances of contamination. My first (and only time) I had zero contamination and 18 cakes that produced 3 flushes. I have enough to last me the next year! I got the Mega Mushroom Kit for $140 (included 18 already sterilized 1/2 pint jars of substrate) and then purchased two spore syringes from Ralphster's for $35. So $175.00 got me a bunch of shrooms and everything in the kit (except the substrate) is reusable, so you're not wasting money. Links are below.

Buy pre-cooked grain bags, liquid culture jars and spore syringe. Inject spores into liquid culture. Incubate, wait until you can see growth. Inject into grain bags. Incubate, wait until you can see growth.
Once you have full colonization of bags, mix into oven pasteurized compost or do the boiling water with coco coir method. Monotubs are good, smart pots work well too.

The PF tek is BS. Went straight to compost the first time no problems.
