My grandma is about as picture perfect as they come, a real treat to have in my life. This summer her rheumatoid arthritis has taken it toil on her. I am looking for advice on how to best treat. She's not a pothead and does not want to be on pain meds. I have a topical that I will try to day. Is a higher cbd tincture what I am looking for. The tincture' s I have tried myself have all got me real stoned, just not trying to have her have a bad experience. Other options I am thinking about are vaporizing because I think that it will be easier to keep her from taking too much.

I know quite a bit about pot, but not enough about what cannabinoid do individually. If anyone has a good link it share I would appreciate it.

For inhalation purposes you want to look for strains with very high CBD content, and fairly low THC content...CBD is becoming more and more apparent to be the real medicinal portion of cannabis, and will offer your grandma pain relief without the psychoactive effect. Strains like Harlequin, Cannatonic, Good Medicine..Google these for more info...In terms of topicals I have no idea as I live in a highly illegal state :(

I'm not trying to give any type of medical advice at all. With that said I would try to find something with a very, very low THC%. You don't want someone with no cannabis experience getting high and having a panic attack. For some reason this seems to be even more prevalent with females. And as I understand it, CBD's work well as an anti-inflammatory. So you should do some research on CBD's. There's been a lot work done lately concerning the use of CBD's. Find a reputable and highly recommended despensary when you do decide on what meds your looking for. Some of these so-called despensaries popping up nowadays are just common dealers with a license; just trying to sell as much as they can regardless of the situation. But definitely thoroughly research the medicinal value of cannabis. If you're in a legal state, which you should be if considering this, get her to a Dr. and her evaluated. The Dr. Can recommend different types of meds that might be helpful. I'd stay away from anything that you have to inhale.

Ive had patients with arthitis have good results taking Simpson oil only a small dab a day, and it shouldn't get her high, I personally use a higher CBD plant as everyone else statedd, my buddys 83 year old grandma has taken it for a year and is fully off her pain meds and moves around quite well for an older lady.Im not a doctor so don't take my advice to heart, seems to work on some but not on others, anything you can try though to keep them off of pharmaceutical crap is a plus in my book.

dont eat it-

grandma, rub it on your skin. doesnt absorb to your blood stream and works GOOD for pain relief. dump simpson oil into any alcohol based lotion and rub away.

trust me.

oral induction of a indica such as pre98 bubba..... provides pain relief the following day according to many patients I deal with

They eat a caramel @ 6pm... next day they feel good

I got a 24% cbd tincture and a vappen for her. She has been using it for a week. Not sure if she can tell a difference I might put a little boh in with the cbd tincture to get more pain killer affect

Small capsules of RSO mixed 50/50 with coconut oil taken orally as needed. .02-.04 grams of oil to start. RSO used in rubs like my sweety Abe rec's ;)

Usually the best painkilling will come from strains that have a CBD/THC ration of 1-1 or 2-1. Simply put, the THC will work to reduce pain and the CBD will work to reduce inflammation. It sounds like her pain is of a chronic nature so the 1-1 ratio will provide the strongest relief from pain but might give a tiny sensation of being high, but in a very, very pleasant way. Hope granny feels better soon....Prof.snook
