Best light for my tent

good evening my fellow RIU member!
I'm high as fuck and debating my setup, currently running a 300w dual spectrum with reflector in my 1.2x0.6x1.8 tent.
Doing some autos and it's going well so far very well actually.
Got a 240m3h inline fan sucking through a filter and out a window with passive intake (perfect smell eradication)
I'm wondering what light I could get away with in there maybe a 250w hps?
The room has an ambient temp of 24-29 outside the tent due to some reptiles tanks in that room.
Now if I'm going hps with them room temps going to need a cool tube right would this work thought I'd ask before spending mega bucks for my next run of plants.

Personally I'd run a 400w min

I would run a cool tube if I were you anyway. Put it this was I run a 1000w in a 1.2x1.2x2, however my fan is double that cfm.

In a 1m x 1m I have a 600w and that has about the same size fan an temps are fine in both tents.

Already got the next round of the same seeds so I can learn from the 1st round then improve for the second then I'm going to go to photo seeds or clones just wetting my feet at the moment.

A past member here jella rocked a tent your size, he ran a 400 in the winter and LED in the summer, ended up using a pair of 160w Area 51 led's yr round. He would grow two 2gal hempy bucket and would pull around 1/4lb each depending upon strain.

With HID you'll need an additional fan for the hood. A cool tube will work in a pinch, but a real hood will serve you better. Going LED will be double the cost of a basic HID hood, fan and venting stuff. Depending upon where you live and if heat is an issue then the LED might be worth the investment.

That's a seriously nice kola right there :) yeah like I've said wetting M feet at the mo I might not even have the ability to grow anything but I'm doing okay patience is your best friend I've found aha

See the brown and necrotic leaf centers? You need to use more Ca/Mg with LEDS as I've heard......Kinda looks true from this...


Anyway, I just left a thread about buying LEDs over HPS and even the LED experts say to stick with the HPS for top performance....

Stick with the HPS....
