great customer service... unparalleled in my own experience so far. The Kit is easy as pie to assemble just follow directions.

if you want to save money, get the QB 96's and build your own frame and order your own driver.

another question is what size area are you trying to light up for 500$

im assuming youre talking pre built and not a kit. "the best" is a debated subject for people with more knowledge than me to dissect but im positive these are all very high quality.

under 500- https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/lamps/products/hlg-300l-rspec

a bit over 500-

Alibaba bars are gonna give you the most light for $500 as far as LEDs go. Quality is always a gamble though. I’m happy with mine despite the fact that they sent me the wrong diodes.

Yea my cousin has 2 of the new 650 but damn there expensive. I'm over at cutter they have a 4x4 flower build 16 ssk-1560 boards for 415 everything included if I can get a build for 350-400 I'll be great. I like the look of the Cobs also but the heat sinks are expensive.

I’ve got some Mars Hydro lights, some Meijiu QBs, and an HLG R-Spec

All are excellent lights, tbh, the Chinese QB clones are the more cost effective by far.

Don’t be intimidated by the kits, it only takes about 2 minutes to “assemble” the lights in the kit, even with a dimmer.

Those strips looks decent, Cree LEDs. What driver is specced with that kit from Cutter?

Ended up going with 2x600w strip systems from ucandewit will give update once they arrive. I know 1200w is over kill for a 4x8 but I'm think of just putting one 600w and a 400w hps in the 4x8 and rocking the other dimmed down in a 4x4. I really wish they would release a 4x8 tent at 63"

Extra power is never a bad thing. You can always dim them. I think you made the right choice. I’ve got 1440w in a 4x8 but im not in a tent so I’ve got extra space to expand my canopy.
