I have heard good things about "killing fields" and "armageddon" intrigues me as well. I certainly like the short flowering time of the latter. Although I'm not usually a big fan of the whole lemon/lime/pine fragrance, I did have a rather long love affair with a sultry lemon Haze I bumbed into once. She loved me long time.

BLZbud - v nice, fruity, social chatty smoke with a creep in mild couch lock, grows like a sativa i'd say with indica traits... if that makes sense lol i ran for 9 weeks.

Pure Power Plant from Nirvana.
The plant grew retarded the entire time. Deformities like crazy. An ugly sucker. It also hermed on me, so I didnt take any cuts of it. Once it was gone, it was gone.
After I harvested the plant and smoked the buds... I was fuckin blown away. A true one hitter quitter. 5 minutes after one good toke, and the world started to spin and you had to hurry up and find a seat.
Note to self.... save cuts of any deformed strains.

i was really impressed by the Red Dragon, it made me upset that regular seeds of the strain weren't available, i remembered that all of them would herm-out some nanners about week 5-6 into flower, like halfway in and then try to self pollinate and all i had to do was watch and pluck them off, raw quality bud 4-5 weeks of scouting later, nothing severe, just a nanner or two every week, took like 2-3 days for them to mature and i watched them everyday anyway so they never got seeded.

I plan on keeping the clones, although none went herm, i have to pick the best 2-3 females, and see if they have the recessive hermaphrodite come out in their f1's/f2's. I'll be maintaining males really, all i need is 1-2 good males and females of both strains in order to really work on f1's, of these and many others, males are pivotal to breeding stability into a strain. if i can get a sick male Armageddon who breeds true, or/and even a female! im not into BX's as they dont help stabilize in any real sense, so each stage i got to test for the best males.

Interesting. I've often ordered through Nirvana in the past with good results, but have never had the pleasure of trying their PPP. I've always liked their BlackJack strain and Bubblicious, too. I'll have to add PPP to my wish list, along with Red Dragon, BLZbud, Killing Fields and Armegeddon.
Great story about the mutant plant as well. Actually, I've got a recently rooted "Royal Flush" clone which is considerably deformed. The leaves don't have serrated edges and she's got three separate stems without having ever been topped. I was going to cull her, but I guess I'll hold on to her now and hope for some mutant weed.

No one said they did..... but taking a backup clone is always a good idea.oh though deformed plants dont always mean a supersmoke(nor the hermy or runt part )
And as for hermie, runt and all that being the growers fault... well, I cant speak for anyone else... but that wasnt the case here senor. Just a crazy looking plant that happened to be some bomb ass smoke, that I wish I still had.

hmm, might still have been your fault, maybe it just was a plant that needed a bit different environment.
friend grew a strain, hermied to shit for him, tried it two times, first time hermied bit, next time not at all.
had another strain, was fine for years, then hermied a few time because of heatstress that would not have fazed a bit most strains ive tried.
great strains too.
pure sativas often hermy if you place them in flowering before they are mature. might be true of some hybrids as well.

Every experienced grower has come across this problem at one point or another. Sure, sometimes it's light leakage during dark periods, heat stress, insects or any other number of environmental factors that could lead to a hermaphrodite. But from experience, I can tell you it's often weak genetics as well. Think about every seed as an unborn child. All families have hereditary traits, good and bad, that they pass down to their children. No two individuals, whether human or seed are ever the same. They may share similar traits with their siblings, but genetic variation allows for subtle mutations. That's why certain plants of the same strain display different phenotypes. Hermaphrodites are present under natural conditions as well.

there are some seedbanks that sell landraces.
(i did have to go to vietnam though, and i luckily had some connections through my wife (lol, got 50 seeds back, 2 sprouted male and female and too far apart to seed, but i got the female growing now and maybe 10 seeds. so maybe ill get lucky and make some seeds, later who knows, hope so, like i said, im smoking bit of fan leaf now and im still high as fuck (Absolutely no couch lock at all)
but, they are selling vietnam black seeds on some seedbanks and ive read that they are good.
some thai strains too
some african as well.
dunno about mexican but ive seen bit.
try asking around, bricktop knows for sure.
