Well to start this off i have to say there are 3 of us growers here in my area that had problems with bugs like Slugs, Snails, leaf mining Caterpillars, little green caterpillars, big white Caterpillars and more and more caterpillars just to name a few!!

Last year i done Alot of Reasearch on using kelp Seaweed as a Fertilizer which works amazingly good for all around health and growth in my plants added to the soil and spray fed!!

But the Most Important thing i found was that Bugs hated it which i read in my research, the first 2 weeks out i never sprayed because i figured they were to small to feed which was a scary 2 weeks bugs love our crops as alot of you know!!

Thats when we needed a miracle which turned out to be my liquid seaweed spray once we sprayed it the first time after that we never seen anymore bugs or damage, so then we wondered was it the seaweed that got rid of the bugs??

Well i have 2 more friends that are growing as well and they were freaking out because there crops were being eatin alive on the verge of loseing everything so i told them about the liquid seaweed because they were using different pesticides and slug baits that was not doing nothing but making there plants sick and the bugs were still comeing!!

as soon as they started using the Seaweed spray they have been comeing to me asking how to get more because all the bugs were gone and the plants were happy and healthy growing strong, That is when i realised how good the seaweed spray really worked so now i am brewing up a barrel full for next year!!

I hope this helps anyone that has access too kelp seaweed or wanna buy some from a hydro store or off ebay to try for themselves!!
You will not be disapointed in many ways!!:weed:

Have you been able to figure out how long it can stay on the plants if there hasn't been any rain? I would assume that it would be necessary to reapply after a rain fall.

Well Kat the longest i went without the rain was 4 days was still good but went 9 days with a few rainy days and bugs started to come back we re-applied the spray and pooofff!! they were gone just like magic lol im not jokeing either or making up storys this stanky shit really works awesome..

you will get people that dont want to beleive in it, but hey its your own choice and its your smoke im just putting this out there for interested people thats not affriad to try something new that works!!
you will never understand until you use it for yourself right!!

yeah it is good stuff that works great i wouldnt preach about it if didnt work lol
im very religious about growing now trying to tweak my organic grows and pest control is a very important part when it comes to outdoors whether it be other bugs as prey or spray as pesticide..
glad too see the praying mantis works for you!!

It's worth trying. I'm always looking for new ways of pest management. Thanks for the heads up hopefully I can give it a shot soon.

ur probably not seeing any caterpillars yet because not everything is even budding right now. im not sayin the seaweed stuff doesnt work because ive never tried it. all im saying is that i dont think right now is a good measuring stick for ur solution. check back in a month in a half or so when there is some fat colas on ur plants and if u still dont have any at that point, then it might be a little safer to say that it works. bt has always worked great for me, my bud loss to caterpillars last year was only about a quarter ounce out of about 5 or 6lbs. compared to the year before when i didnt use bt until it was already too late, and i lost about a pound out of about 18lbs. as far as the slugs are concerned, ive never even seen a slug in my 4 years or so of growing so i couldnt help u there.

yeah you may be right but we already had caterpillars living on and eating our girls before we sprayed them now not even the rabbits will eat it only thing we havent seen around there yet was moose lol..
slugs are everywhere here they are the biggest threat here next too the cabbage worms which are caterpillars!!
we get caterpillars on us everytime we go up there but never on the girls anymore...

but like you said ill be safer to say it works when its all over, even though it already do work!!!

Budpillars are the scurge of the growing world..

I dont use pesticides or organic crap to remove the pests I get..

1. keep my area VERY clean (outdoor on patio in containers)
2. I have the FORTUNE of being able to see my ladies and take care of them as soon as I see any issues.

Signs of the budpillars are
webbing... a single strand usually not a spiders web
black turds on the plant
Budpillars show up during BUD production
I found an egg sack which I sealed up and want to see if the budpillars are coming from this egg..
The egg I found looks like a sperm standing on it's tail.. it is attached to the end or underneath of leaves.

again not sure if thats the egg sack or not... but I have found these things in other local grows.

if you have the time you can control them w.o anything more then your fingers.. makes a nice soothing poping sound.

anyone else seen these eggs I mentioned?
