Best grams per watt yield using SS

Google "pinstripe's 2nd try". He used DIY LED on a small scale and got 1.7 gr/w in soil.

Ac is a killer we all know that. Mine is about 4600 watts including the blower. The benefits of LED over HPS extend beyond the grams/watt. Carbon filters will also work better with slower fan speeds.

The downside is the complexity of the DIY build and the high initial cost. That is why they are more appealing on a small scale. At one point we had 140 LED dissipation watts on the flower side and it yielded 1 to 1.5 gr/watt despite out of date LEDs and experimenting with all kinds of genetics and organic fertilizers. Using only the best yielders 2 gr/watt is possible and you can scale it up as big as you can afford.

1.5L water only organic soil.

How many plants is that with? That's where this arguement gets skewed for me. How many plants do you have to produce that under a 1000W? Just curious. I"m on my first grow and bought a 1000W. Trying to gauge what I can aspire for.
I do 4 plants under a 1000 watt. same way as subcool. Except i only veg for 3 weeks from clone. I train but no topping. And I dont grow in typical SS. I use roots organic and amend that with dolomite, azomite, epsom, oyster shell, myco. And i feed with Earth juice, liquid fish, seaweed, guano, and i use my SS to make compost tea. And i make other compost teas.

I don't think those yield are achievable without training... I try to spread my plants horizontally, kind of like a scrog but without the screen. I am not too keen on hurting my plants though but I have found lately that my method of not topping and training tend to produce too big of a cola compared to the rest of the plants so I am gonna start mainlining or at least topping once or twice and see how that goes.

I just bought velcro plant ties at home depot yesterday (3$ a pack), I had been using the mini bungee cord which worked wonder for me but those velcro ties are the bomb (try them with smarties you will never go back!!) Also I had to be careful with the bungee cord and I had to move them around every other day or so because the little metal hooks would dig into the plants.
