they dont sell those at home depot. Ive NEVER seen a 65W cfl at depot.. Or lowes.. Or Walmart..
They do in the south, go into the light bulb section right when you walk in. The label will say 300 watts in big letters then after reading the small print you'll find out it uses 65.

Ask the salesperson in that section for a 300 watt spiral light.

Not sure about the south but, they dont carry them here.. They stock diff items at diff stores the lighting guy said. LOL can you believe they didnt have a single fan in the entire store except ceiling fans? Not a single desk/table lamp in the entire store.. I went to walmart to buy one of those black circular ones that this dude used to make a deoderizer in this thread HERE but the only table/desk fan they had was a 9 '' white box fan so I bought that one to set inside my box.. I swear, I think store are taking this "seasonal stocking" thing too far lol..

ya i have to dis=agree with ya..i just seen some of those at walmart..they are the equal of two 150 watt cfls..but they cost more..they cost 20 bucks..and in a blue wrapper..one light.
i was going to one..but i had a choice of 150watt for 3dollars...or 300 watt for 20..i went with buying more 150s...
and i almost diddnt see those..it was on top shelf and almost at the end of the cfls section...
Im in Mn...

They would be a little to strong for rooting clones but once in the vegetive stage these work wonders.
A lower kelvin like those 3000k bulbs are more suited for flowering, you want to have as close to 6500k as possible for veg. If your going with those fluorescents and you dont see the indication of kelvin then choose the "cool white" color. They are usually 5500k+
