Hi guys,
I've been doing some research and I've found a bunch of different methods and ideologies for fan placement in a PC grow box, but there have been some contradictions in what I've read and I'm not 100% sure what I should do.
-having an intake fan and 1 or 2 exhaust fans
I read that this can be good to have a fan blowing through the canopy to strengthen the plant. I've also read that this causes air to swirl inside the case and raise the temperature.
-having 1 or 2 exhaust fans and a passive intake
I've read that this is the best way because it keeps temperatures low and circulates air the best.
-having an intake fan blowing on the lights to keep them cool and an exhaust fan
I've read that this is good to keep the lights cool and temperatures down inside the case, but I've also read that this blows hot air at your plants and can raise temperatures inside the case. I'm with the guy who said it blows hot air at your plants and raises the temp inside the box so I've pretty much ruled this option out unless someone on here can school me on it's benefits.
SO
Should I go with the passive intake and 1 or 2 exhaust fans? Or 1 intake and 2 exhaust?
Keep in mind:
I'll be using 4x 26w CFLs, mounted at the top of the case, laying horizontally.
The case is approximately 23" x 22" x 9" and has space for 7 fans.
Grow medium = potting soil mix
Thanks in advance for any help guys!
