Best Doctor for high plant count

So my doctor from last year got audited and wont give me my 75 plant count again. I have all the doctors paper work needed proving my asthma (for the edible card) and a couple broken disks in my back etc for reasoning but says he wont write them to anyone now. Does anyone know where i can get this card again? I have my crop going and just went to re new and got shut down so kind of scrambling now... didn't know they could do that lol thought i was good with my 75 for life now... anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sucks but I think this is going to be a trend. A few people abusing the system and pumping weed on to the black market has ruined it for those that actually need a higher plant count. I would like to know as well though, I want to get mine bumped up to 12 or so and from what I hear many docs are now sticking strictly to the 6 protected by amendment 20.

It's super easy to get a plant count of 12. At least 90% of them (probably closer to 100%) will do it if you have a legitimate need for it. 6 plants really doesn't provide much medicine for someone who is in serious need. The doctors know this and so do law enforcement. My neighbors a cop and said he won't pursue anything even if it's illegal if it's under 24 plants. He's all for cannabis though.

Best of luck finding a doctor bro. Only one I know of does 48 at the highest if you have a legit condition such as yourself

Is there some sort of official higher count card or do you just mean your doc has recommended a higher count bc you make edibles?

Last time I went I said I wanted to eventually get my own grow going and produce ice wax for making edibles but for now wanted to trade my plants for the best discount I can get at a dispensary. The doc I go to works with a lot of the shops around here and knows that River Rock will give you 20% off for 24 plants so that's what he gave me, 6 more than my previous 18.

My gf was also previously given 36 and last time she went was knocked down to 12 and the doc said that is the most they are doing now.

There are a number of factors behind this crackdown fyi, mainly fueled by greed over recreational sales.

All that said, I'm curious and have never gotten 100% clarification on this.... Besides private caregivers, who can grow up to 36 plants based on number of patients and their plant recommendations, aren't any extended plant counts, technically meaningless other than your doctor could testify on your behalf if you ever were in court over it?

There is no higher plant count card. In fact mmed doesn't officially acknowledge a higher plant count in any way. We are just referring to how many is recomended by the doctor. The term Edible card is from the fact that normally if you tell the doctor you need edibles or concentrates they may give you a higher plant rec because it takes more to produce the final product.

Having a plant count exceeding the six plants allowed by amendment 20 is not protected under state law, meaning you can technically be prosecuted. Should you end up in court somehow your higher plant count only allows you to raise an affirmative defense. What ever the hell that means. If it comes to that point you are already wrapped up in a world of legal hell anyway. Now, when you look at it on a local level most police are not even going to prosecute someone who is within their doctor recommended plant count unless you are blowing it up and make it obvious the product isn't being used legally. Personally, even though I doubt a police officer would drive past all the huge grow ops to bust me for my 12 plants, I would rather have the rec to show that I am trying to operate as legitimately as possible. The benefit isn't in court, it is in attempting to avoid being prosecuted in the first place.

The MMED doesn't recognize high plant counts. Our doc still gives up to 48 plant counts to patients with serious needs. Cancer patients, patients with serious legit pain, kids with seizures, etc. One of my patients renewed hers about a week ago for 48. He does only do it for those with SERIOUS need though. It use to be very loose restrictions on caregivers. Now they put a limit of 99 plants per caregiver unless the caregiver registers with the state and pays fees similar to what dispensaries have to do. Weve been keeping up with all of our paperwork and our still allowed the same 240 that we have always been (although we took our attorneys recommendation and stay under 99 because of the "unspoken federal barrier")

Ahhh good to know. For some reason I thought caregivers were limited to 36 plants.
