I Just received and put together my 320w XL QB V2 LED Kit. I am Very impressed with the quality of the components, the ease of construction and the especially the outstanding brightness of the fixture.

The boards are 3x qb288 3000k and I am running the light for both veg and flower stages. The light is Dimmable from 100% down to 50% and I would appreciate some guidance from any who have experience with the HLG qb lights as to the height of the lights over the canopy and the % of full strength light to use in each stage. My tent is a 4’x2’x6’.

Thanks in advance for all opinions

15 - 18 " for flowering at 330 watts.
Dims to 100 watts which is handy too for seedlings and young clones.

Thanks Moflow!

I’ve seen this PPFD chart and kinda extrapolated for my 4x2 footprint. Am I correct in understanding that anything over 1000 PPFD goes pretty much unused.

In correspondence with a fellow at HLG it was recommend 29 inches at full strength for veg, 29 for first two weeks of flower, 24 for third week and 18 for the rest. You can even potentially get it closer strain dependant. This seems a little distant.

Any one experimented with different distances and % dimmed would love the feedback. I don’t want to stress the plants but do want to give them most light I can. What would be he first signs of light stress as I understand heat shouldn’t be an issue?

Ahhhh is right. I put the light together in about 30min with a buddy of mine whom upon finishing had the brilliant idea of plugging it in before I could dial down the dimmer.... damn near retina burnt us I was seeing rows of LED’s for about 5min. Do not do this !
