Best deal on HPS?????HELP????

Alright guys so i am growing in a closet. The closet is over 6 feet long but i use not even half so about 3 ft long 2ft wide and like 10ft tall.

I have one plant in flowering and six in veg. I currently have two 24in 20w flouresents and thats not working very well.

So im HIGHLY considering getting one of these

I have one cooling fan if i get the 250 i dont want it getting to hot.

BUT WITCH ONE WOULD YOUR RECOOMEND IS THE BEST DEAL???????

I got the 400 form HTG and I love it. But for your size room yea get the 250 from HTG it seems like a good deal. And I heard they really stand by there products. You might want to go right to HTG's web sight it might be cheaper than buying it on eBay. Good Luck!

As the previous poster stated HTG will be your best bet. Go to their site and go for a 400 watt setup, it's only like 120 bucks and it will out perform that 250. I myself grow in a closet around the full size of yours and the 400 watter is great.

I got a Lumatek digital ballast and light with hood for $200 of ebay. It works great and is high quality, I'd go with that system I believe they also have a 250w system for $160 or so. The lumatek digital system lasts longer, puts out more lumens and is much lighter than those magentic ballasts.

if i got the 250 rather than the 150 would my yeild double? not quite double, or triple. let me know.

iahve no exsasuts or anything im only working with one outlet in a single bedroom. i cant have to much heat or use to much wattage.

craigslist!! i got a sun system 400watt hood ballast and bulb for 60 bucks the thing looks brand new I been using it for a week without a problem ..yeah i took a chance but it worked out great for me look around u might find that one bargain deal ...it doesnt hurt to look

The 150 does have a ballast. It's inside the hood the lamp is mounted in. It's an integrated hood/ballast.

Remote ballasts have the advantage of allowing you to keeping the hot ballast away from the plants.



FWIW, I've got a Lumatek 250w (digital) and a C.A.P. 250w (magnetic). The digi is better in every way except it won't run a CMH bulb. So if you don't care about that, I'd get a Lumatek 250w ballast (if that's the wattage you want) and then pick your hood/reflector. Even with a 250, you'd better at least have some fans blowing.
