Best CBD for chronic back pain

I've got herniated discs have had spasms and terrible pain for 14 years! Ive smoked with only temporary relief. I started eating raw water leaves or buds, it doesn't get you high and I'm pretty much pain free now. I figured this out by giving my 11 year old dog leaves to eat because he could barely get up because his hips were killing him. He started running around like a young dog again!! So I ate a hand full and it worked!! Ive told other people about it, it worked for them too!! You will get high if buds have been heated or cured for any good length of time. I dont mind but some people do. I dont think the relief is strain dependent, but I've only tried this with 4 strains since figuring this out. I've been smoking for over 30 years, and I'm just finding out what a miracle this plant is!!!!

A lot of people turn to CBD for its ability to relieve pain. And while we are at it - terpenes have their own pain relieving benefits. CBD with terpenes helps to alleviate pain and inflammation. Tangi with anti-inflammatory properties specific to Beta-Myrcene, this terpene profile has long been known for its ability to alleviate pain.
Out of curiosity - did anyone try the Stanley Brothers stuff that is a mix of CBD and THC for pain? I am not pimping for them though they seem to be pretty good dudes.

Very cool and great news including for your dog. Amazing stuff.

I wonder if it could be made into a tincture by running it through an extraction machine? Maybe your approach is better because people would get less high.

May I ask the strains?

Ill be honest, I broke my neck playing football, had to have c3-c7 fused and pinned and graphed. CBD in a pure form did little to nothing in big doses, and less in micro doses over a long period of time.

What really helped me a lot was THC-A and a pure CBD powder/crystal mixed together then used to medicate, I find that pure THC messes the CBD right up and actually most often intensifies my pain.

Might be able to process them in those little desktop extraction machines that are very safe to use.

The first strain not sure I was gifted some random seeds. The leaves I'm eating now are Acapulco Gold, Blue Dream, and White Widow. I just eat what I defoliate. Until plants are done. If I take a ball the size of a quarter, a coin. I feel a noticeable difference fairly quick. I have friends in illegal states that have tried it with worse problems than I have with the same results. At this point I'm not sure if its strain dependent!! I did save the plant I first tried it with, just in case it was. But so far those and whatever else they ate has worked!! I still cant believe it!!

I think the thca is where that miracle is, I've smoked for years with little to no relief. Dont get me wrong I like to relax too!! I'm just amazed at this plant for different reasons now!!

I bet that would also work I have heard of creams but have no experience with them.

The doctors prescribed ibuprofen for her
lol that is over the counter. I hate it when they say "take ibuprofen" for back pain. It's nerve pain and iboprofen doesn't do anything for that IME. I have a bad back too and cannabis helps a lot but I need the THC as well because thats what really helps. Not like the pain is gone, it's dulled but if I am high enough I don't care.

IMHO:
***Know your tolerances and proceed very carefully with edibles. Start with a lower dose first to know what the effects feel like.***

High dose THC edibles; choose your strain for night / day / relaxation.
I get Level ProTabs from the dispensary - 25mg ea., Full Plant Spectrum.
**NOT SUBLINGUALS** They are a loose, quick dissolving pill with an amazingly potent aftertaste that lasted for hours. :spew:...hours.
Take on an empty stomach with a full glass of water and everything off of your agenda (the first time).

Results across strains:
All experiences - no driving / heavy machinery / defoliating / watering - waves of euphoria and general stoner brain can get intense.
Indica - 100mg thc - Pain relief and deep sleep
3 hours before bed. Giggly, slightly narcotic body high that comes in waves (my back eases a notch or two), hungry, more powerful and yet gentle than sleeping pills.
Hybrid - 150mg thc - Day at the beach
9 am dose, by 11:30, the floor is a bit spongy and my cheeks hurt from grinning. Very strong, happy high. If I got any pain relief from that experience, I was too high to notice!
Sativa - 100mg thc - Day in the home office.
Had an in-person meeting that morning, was home and ADD by noon - RIU is not helpful for that - no work getting done. The Sativa seemed to come up faster and in stronger body waves. I remained clear headed so I could knock down a few creative tasks quickly and focus on a few other work chores I wasn't looking forward too - they still sucked, but at least I was high! No real crash either; finished the evening without even a nap.
I don't really notice my back quite as much with any of these, so pain relief seems good.

CBD - Have not tried yet. They sell out within hours of receiving these, so I guess that says something.
Delta-8 - I really want to try these, advertising says it's more subtle euphorically but better for medicating.
They have more types as well - just google them or look them up on weedmaps.

For more instant effects I like a good, oily, temple ball chunk of aphgooey, or just a good indica flattened thin over a bowl of something tasty. bongsmilie

One or two solid rips gives me a solidly narcotic body wave that settles into increased general comfort.

This is the first time I’m hearing CBD for back pain. I know people vape it but never thought it had so many health benefits. But if it really cures back pain why won’t massage therapists start using it for their clients instead of those oils.

It doesn't cure it, it helps mask the pain.

We have found high dose concentrates with " high CBD" claims to have wondrous and repeatable effects on our back arthritis. Seedsman 1:1 cream & cheese being a recent reorder. Good luck with your pain, friend.

Best for pain is to infuse THC flower with olive oil/coconut oil like other suggested. THC is more pain relieving than CBD. The combination of the two is best for overall pain and inflammation.
