Youll want to make a vibrating table to help pack it, so like a table saw motor with an off balance pulley or a piece of machinery that vibrates when running.Anything will work even a palm sander held against it will help it pack down.Alright I answered my own question and in case anyone else is wondering. I figured the housing would be easy but I didn’t know what kind of charcoal you’d refill the thing with. Looking like ‘4x8 activated carbon’ gets me the right stuff. Gonna order a big ass bag and try to refill this time so wish me luck haha.
That’s what’s up. Thank you sir much appreciated.mark stuff like this as a gift on Amazon and they will always double box it.
Where do you purchase the charcoal?Been refilling my Active Airs for 7 years.
Whats the mesh size for filters?^ yep Amazon had a few options. I forgot to check eBay. I was cringing designing my new space and thinking more/bigger filters would be needed to maintain it how I like. I just pulled the trigger on a 55 lb bag which should refill all my filters a few times. Gonna end up saving me a ton.
Plus I read you can bake the used charcoal to refresh it. Anyone done this?
I was looking into baking my charcoal but I soon discovered the temperature required to bake out the smells are not attainable with a standard kitchen stove.^ yep Amazon had a few options. The mesh inside the filter? I’m not sure and hoping to reuse whatever is in there already. Gonna open the housing dump out the old and pack in the new. Improvise with what’s there. The few posts around the net I found on it didn’t seem to run into much troubles. Hoping that won’t be an issue. I’ve done a lot with cheap nylon stocking though and would start there.Whats the mesh size for filters?

I told my wife hey you know how they say bad boys get coal for Christmas? Haha
And if you grow dank you still have to replace them every 1.5 to 2 years imeI went through a few cheap filters in the beginning. I only buy Phresh now, and they are worth the cost.
Hmm I am going to have to look into this...Mountain Air are the best on the market and they last longer than 3 years which no other company can offer
